Tonnino Tuna Fillet in Water, 6.7 oz

For the last several years, I’ve tried different brands of tuna. I’ve ended up throwing them out after I opened them because of the disgusting overwhelming smell....truly inedible! I read a review on this brand and ordered them. They arrived promptly. I opened the first jar today and was THRILLED that it had a mild odor just like it used to many years ago. I made some tuna salad and it was absolutely delicious. My husband, who hates tuna and had a heightened sense of smell, was curious and came over to smell it. He said it didn’t smell fishy at all...just a nice mild smell. Thank you for such a great product, that I will be reordering from now on. Can’t tell you how much I enjoyed my sandwich!

Wonderful wild caught tuna without the can! No more worries about BPA. We love this product and use it just the way we always used canned tuna but without the worry. I would recommend it to anyone. Although it is a bit pricey, I think it is worth the cost for the peace of mind. Oh, and did I mention, the taste is great.

I usually buy this product from a grocery, these don’t have a use by date on the bottom of the jar. The.content is all broken up and not the filet’s I usually see like pictured here. I love this product but if I saw these on the shelf at the store I would not buy them. I think they didn’t pass quality control and gave Amazon a good deal. DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!

We have sent cases of this to the Caribbean for the past few years to compensate for the lack of safe fresh fish and are never disappointed in our meals. As New Englanders who eat fresh fish every day, we can tell you this is a great alternative to just-caught fish. It is delicious as is on salads.

Taylor's Mkt is wonderful -- great price, reasonable shipping, and fast delivery. I buy these from them monthly and wish they had a subscription service. I like the fact that you can see what you're getting and that there are no bones or dark meat. There are 5-7 nice big chunks in every jar. These taste like tuna in a can but, because they're preserved in glass, you don't have to worry about either aluminum or BPA; BUT ... they are not just tuna and spring water. There is salt in there, too, and it's not healthy sea salt, it's toxic table salt. I am trying to contact Tonnino to confirm that. I might be wrong because the label states that the ingredients are "tuna fish" but the sticker on the top clarifies that it is the smaller (healthier) yellowfin, so the "salt" listed in the ingredients might be sea salt but, if it was, why don't they say so? Without confirmation, I will continue to look for a salt-free olive-oil free tuna preserved in glass. If you know of one, please contact me!

Excellent source of protein. Truly a quality product & well priced for that matter. Even with shipping the unit price averages out with retail price. The nearest store selling this tuna is usually OUT. Probably because this is great quality (sustainable) tuna. Shipping was a bit long but the packaging was impeccable. I would buy this again!

I bought this tuna hoping that it replicates some other jarred tuna that we bought at Whole Paycheck. That tuna was delicious. This tuna is very much like canned tuna, dries out my mouth mid-bite. Not worth the extra money it costs.
