The USB carries both power and audio. The Rubix range can also be powered by a standard USB charger.

Will this be able to record vinyl into a computer?

In theory, yes. Providing your record player/amp has a line out that can go into your interface.

With 4 line outs can this be configured to provide quadraphonic surround sound to front and rear speakers directly from windows? (no daw)

I would suspect not.....possibly.
