No face plate will fit this
I have never had a product frustrate me this much. Admittedly I did not read the reviews that said you needed a small play cover to use this. It came in and of course my outlet plate was too large. I went to the reviews and realized I needed a two and three-quarter inch by 4 1/2 inch plate cover. Because I was excited to get this installed I chose the only option that would arrive to me in two days which was six dollars. That being said I could’ve gotten it for less than a dollar at Walmart or Lowe’s. The new face play came in, it was the correct size and I set to work installing it. To my surprise the face plate was still too large. I measured the inside of the shelf bracket which measure just above 2 1/2 inches. So without breaking the face plate I knew this wouldn’t work. I cannot locate a smaller face plate. I ended up loosening the screws that hold the plug to the wall in order for it to jut out more And I used my original face plate with a longer screw to hold the shelf on. The shelf itself looks good, the plugs look bad because they are offset into the wall and the shelf is not as secure since I couldn’t use the inside lip to hold it in place. For now it works OK.

Simply solution, works with the smallest sized wallplate
It needs the smallest possible outlet cover plate (I have decorator wallplates), but I found one for under a dollar at walmart (be sure you get the really small one). It installs super easy with a small flat head screwdriver to take off the existing cover plate and put it back with this shelf's frame behind the cover plate. I installed it with the shelf on the top, to hold my pill box and reading glasses so they are super easy to find. It would hold a cell phone just as well, out of the way of water splashing from the sink. It saves me from putting holes in the wall for an extra shelf.

Lovely little shelf
This thing is surprisingly large. We had to buy a longer screw for our plug, but I think that's just because someone cut the screw too short on the plug to begin with. My electric toothbrush sits safely away from the kids messes, and far-flung facial hair trimmings. It also holds my hubby's electric shaver on occasion, and my contact lenses. This little think is also surprisingly durable as I've wacked it a few good times with my flat iron and various cleaning products, and winced waiting to hear a cracking sound. Still standing 8 months later! Definitely makes my narrow bathroom sink more functional.

Check your outlets first
Never ended up using this. Says fits the standard size outlet cover. But it does not fit the normally used outlet covers in a home. I tried to locate a standard size cover and was not able to find one that fit for this product. Trying to get it out of the package, I destroyed the packaging so I could not even attempt to return the product.

Sturdy, space-saving outlet organizer
I recommend the IdeaWorks Wall Outlet Organizer. I use it in my bathroom. It's such a space-saver and very convenient. It's very sturdy, not flimsy, and more spacious than I anticipated. Through the clever use of an opening in the middle and hooks underneath, I threaded the cord for the charger for my toothbrush through the opening, wound the cord around the hooks, and plugged it in. The way the shelf is made, once the cord is "stored" underneath, it's out of sight. I can leave the charger in place, freeing up space on my tiny sink edge. There's space to plug in two small appliances. I use the other side to plug in my phone when I'm using the bathroom, but you could plug in a razor or other item. The color is a neutral just off white, so it should go with most decor. I'm very happy with this purchase.

Doesn’t fit standard wall plate size
As others have said this product disappoints as the standard wall plate is too big to sit inside the center as directed. So a standard size wall plate will not work. Also the standard size screws that are already in the wall plate do not fit, yet the product does not come with the longer screws needed. The manufacture knows this problem and yet continue to not change the size and add screws. Good idea bad implementation ..TOO BAD 😞
