Brilliant
Absolutely outstanding. Pros: The battery life - 8 days and I'm at 32% with every sensor on and sleep tracking. Outstanding. Watch faces - really good selection, not as big as Android or Apple watch selections but still good. Food logging - Gamechanger. Features AI to take and analyse photos of food to give realistic calorie values. Lost a decent amount of weight. GPS - mapped my local area through GPS for runs. Great feature. Cons: No android or apple pay - have to set up through Zepp pay which features giving bank details to a third party website - really not keen on the idea so won't use the feature. App list - app list isn't in any order and are icons only on a big honeycomb style app list. Find it very difficult to find what I'm looking for. Overall - 100% worth the money.

Excellent smartwatch!
Excellent smartwatch! I couldn't be happier. It has everything I need in a smartwatch. Contactless payment, great battery life that lasts 12-14 days with daily wear and always-on display, all necessary notifications, the OLED display is great, works fast without any lag... Excellent design and very light and comfortable to wear! A purchase that is worth the money. Fast and hassle-free delivery from Amazon!

Much better than ticwatch pro 5!
Ok I feel like I should write a review. I have moved from apple to android after the 3rd gen iPhone. 2 reasons, cost and phone/watch options. Really enjoying android. My phone choice was red magic 9 pro (excellent 👌) and my watch choice was a ticwatch pro 5. At the time I thought the ticwatch was excellent. Good battery life (about 3 days inc 3 to 4 gym sesh per week) unique display and solid build. After a while though I noticed that my heart rate while on the running machine was off quite a bit. Sometimes up to 20bpm (I think this is more how the watch sat on my wrist than the watch itself) but, after a while this just got to me. I would spend nearly all the time on the running machine adjusting the watch to try and correct the BPM vs what the running machine was telling me. Not really wanting to change though, the balance came on offer for £120, so I pulled the trigger. Man, so happy I did. The balance sits nicer on my wrist, I barely notice it's there. The screen is better, the battery lasts 10 days with the same usage as my ticwatch, the heartrate reading is much more accurate, I get ALL my notifications, there are more accessories available. The list goes on. The UI on the balance is better, the phone app is better, there is more data to interrogate and yes, curve works brilliantly for contactless payments (better than Google wallet on ticwatch), yes you can reply to messages via onscreen keyboard or voice to text. The virtual assistant is accurate and easy to use. The speaker and mic for phonecalls is soooo much better than on the ticwatch. One niggle I have is when using the downloaded map, I can't get the map to orientate, as I would like the map to orientate rather than my location/direction triangle. It's a very little niggle and it may just be in a setting I haven't found. The watch is fantastic and does EVERYTHING and more my Google OS ticwatch did! I did originally buy the balance thinking "I will probably be returning it", but no, the ticwatch is now for sale.

Perfect smart/fitness watch
Haven't had a smart watch in years and that was due to my detest for daily charging. That's not to say I wouldn't take off a conventional watch at the end of the day. It was the anxiety of seeing the battery rapidly deplete over the course of a day or sometime less than that and was too off putting. After some research settled on the amazfit balance being a good all rounder with promised battery life, smart watch abilities and fitness tracking. First thing first it's asthetically very pleasing and slim considering the watch face size. Having somewhat small wrists it fits perfect surpringly and is comfortable to wear. The smartness is all there and everything I needed, incoming/outgoing calls, SMS/WhatsApp messages with keyboard/voice dedication to respond back to and control of music on phone and weather/calendar update. Fitness element is great and the first time engaging with watches that track all this data. Really good from my observation and track a large set of health function presented well within the zepp app and honestly it's giving me some good pointers especially on my sleep pattern! Well impressed and will see how far I go with this. The revelation though is in the battery life, comfortably achieved 10+ days on a single charge with all all fitness stuff being monitored and consistent smart watch activity. I'm seriously impressed and just shocked at how efficient the battery is, coming from a 1 day watch battery life it's made smart watches viable to me at last. WatchOS and AppleOS really need to sort out how battery insufficient their os is as this watch does like 90% of what those watches can do with battery life that's at least 3x better on their most expensive models. Lastly the available watch faces from their app store are actually very nice and I found a set of beautiful watch faces that I keep on rotation. For anyone on the fence like me, especially due to battery concerns. We've reached a point that a brand with the right OS has emerged and the tech has caught up. There is no real comprise here compared to the big brand except perhaps in very niche areas. If you accept that than the amazfit balance is a no brainer especially when you factor in the price.

So far so good for a very interesting watch
I have tried many watches. From Huawei to Fitbit, Samsung to Garmin. And I always find I like some things but not others. I was intrigued by the new Venu 3 but couldn't justify the price. This watch peaked my curiosity as it had all the features I wanted, at a price I could bare. And looked great to boot. So far, I really like the app. While not quite as detailed as garmin, it's really not far off. GPS is fantastic. Locks on immediately and tracks whole way without any issues on small country track with barely any phone signal. I've tested the HR against a dedicated strap and it's pretty well spot on for live reads. Just keep in mind it only updates as often as you set it. The screen is fantastic and very responsive. Best I've had yet. Although it's big it is very slim and fits to the wrist well. I've shown a picture in comparison to a forerunner so you can see the difference. Still testing it out. But I am impressed so far. For the price point, it packs a punch. Missing the body battery from garmin I really like, while it has a morning readiness score and all day stress tracking its not quite the same. Still yet to determine whether I like their algorithms on the more fitness based items like workload and aerobic fitness so will see. I had felt like my forerunner was overestimating calories burnt during walks....and this watch seems to confirm my suspicion. As the calories on the same walk (I'm currently wearing a watch on either hand to test/compare) are a fair bit less on the balance. But somehow I feel its probably the more accurate answer if I'm being honest. Time will tell. Edit... and top tip for using zepp pay, as participating banks are limited in UK and Europe (as most smartwatch are tbh) you can easily sign up for Curve and use any of your cards through Curve and it works perfectly. Just a tip that was given to me. Cost is £5 to set up for the cost of card, if you dont want a subscription. Actually quite a good service.

Easily the best smart watch I have ever owned
To back that statement up, I’ve previously used an Apple Watch Ultra, Samsung classic 6, ticwatch 3 pro ultra etc. I was sceptical about buying this brand as I had tried a blip model a couple of years back and it was awful (but it was cheap). The design is beautiful (I’ve gone for the black with silicone strap), it’s light, durable and looks the part. The slightly curved 1.5” screen is crystal clear with clarity of text with deep blacks, colours that pop and smooth transitions across the tiles and menus. It has so many features, way too many, like a jack of all trades when it comes to fitness but these do not overwhelm - you can chose what to be notified about etc. All readings are very accurate, comparison with a Fitbit band. Readings are also detailed and you can read more into them if that’s your thing. Maps and GPS are also very thorough. If you receive a WhatsApp or text message notification, you can reply to them via zepp flow, a virtual assistant- simply dictate your reply and send. I’ve found its accuracy spot on. Flow can also set you reminders, appointments, change your watch settings, play music etc - meaning you don’t always need to be swiping and tapping for functions. It also has Alexa built in. The companion app is clean and easy to understand. For around £200 it’s not cheap but neither expensive when you compare to other premium brands. Oh and the battery life, I’ve worn it solidly so far for 5 days and it’s used 20% battery - what’s not to like. Very highly recommend

You will not get better quality or functionality for this price point.
Great value for money considering the accuracy in the apps as opposed to some 700 pound plus watches. Nearly on par with Garmin fir GOS accuracy, very very impressive. Good sleep analysis, can't vouch for just how good as I have no advanced sleep tech to compare too, some times it will track a nap if you're just about to doze into one so it may get tricked some times, but I feel like it does a pretty good job at tracking sleep. I have skinny wrists for a male and feel like the size is just perfect if you like sleeker styled watches, not ludicrously big, not so small it looks too feminine, just right. I like the app functionality, loads of little gadgets to use like heart rate, spo2, altitude, etc etc It really is and amazing little watch the screen clarity could be a bit better, but honestly I think that only matters if you have very dense/complicated watch faces loaded in. Very impressed by this watch, I will buy another if I end up breaking this one (build quality seems great, but I go out on motorbikes etc so it gets abused). You will not get better quality or functionality for this price point, trust me I researched for hours.

Great smart watch
At time of writing, I've owned this Amazfit Balance watch for almost a month. It is a replacement for a series 4 Apple watch. Initial impressions on opening the box was that it looked smart, a much nicer looking face than the familiar square looking alternatives. I downloaded the Zepp App and the watch performed a software update. it has since had a further software update. I advise learning the Zepp App and exploring its settings to get the best out of the watch. Initially, I had problems getting notifications, but that was down to me not sliding the notifications bars for each App in the settings. Be aware however, that some Apps on your phone may not push notifications to your watch. I have two banking Apps that do not activate notifications to my watch. So it doesn't really do NFC in the UK but I really don't actually care about that to be honest. Apparently there are ways around this, but you have to do the research and involves using a payment card from what I understand. The watch paired without issue to my iPhone 14 Pro and I've no issues whatsoever with connection dropping out. I make and receive calls just fine using the watch. For clarity, I use Esim, not that should make much difference. The battery life in my opinion, is superb. On average, I get 12 days between charges as opposed to the barely 24 hours from my previous smart watch. I genuinely like this watch over my previous watch. I find it simple to use. As with all products, you absolutely have to take the time to learn it's capabilities. I bought this watch from Amazon at a fantastic price during a promotion period. It is in my opinion, worth every penny over the more expensive alternatives.
