I bought one before this for $16 and it was way too big and bulky even after molding it. I kept spitting it out in my sleep. I couldn't even close my mouth when I slept. Somehow that guard got good reviews. I grind at night and broke more teeth and .y jaw is in a lot of pain. I needed something that would stay in and fit my mouth better. This one has 2 sizes and is not bulky. Much better!

I've used similar products before and I found that even the small set was too big for my mouth. I by no means have a small mouth either. The bottom tray was difficult to form because there is so much extra space. I've tried to mold it multiple times and it just won't do right. The top tray is snug at least but the bottom is so loose. When worn together, there's so much material in my mouth, it makes me gag. I have trimmed back parts with scissors and all that's done is made sharp edges and ridges. Oh well. I am going to go back to my old brand that was more expensive but at least worked like I needed it to.

After much frustration in trying to mold this product to my teeth, I finally got it to work. I needed to boil water, take it off the heat and let guard sit about 1 minute. My impression from the directions was to leave it in the water for a much shorter time. I finally got it right after finding general directions for molding a mouthguard at an online site. Now it fits well. It would benefit manufacturer to improve its directions.

I followed the directions very carefully and these would not form to my teeth & gums. I repeated the process and they still did not work. Useless waste of money.
