I’m a big fan of Omegaverse stories, but I wasn’t sure what to expect with this one. Well, let me tell you, I couldn’t have been more wrong.The way this story is written draws you in and makes you feel deeply connected to the main female character. She’s got such a strong personality, and those little glimpses into her thoughts throughout the book make you truly invested in her journey—not to mention the intriguing Alphas she’s surrounded by.If you’re on the hunt for an Omegaverse story with a bit of torture, some intense rejection, and a fiercely strong female lead, I’d highly recommend giving this one a read.Tropes:• Multiple POV• Reverse Harem• Bully Romance• Fated Mates• Enemies to Lovers• Alpha/Omega Dynamics• Dark Romance• Forbidden Love• Revenge Plot• Intense RejectionSpice Meter: 🌶️🌶️🌶️ (There’s a good balance of heat, with scenes that are intense but not overwhelming.)

Just wow. No spoilers.Writing was exquisite, plot was something amazing, angst levels 100, all the feelings.Bring on book 2.

I don't read very much RH Omegaverse books, but I have read most of the series. This was exceptional! Vex was a wonderful Omega (not the wimpy, helpless sort). She's been dealt a tough hand and is trapped in a difficult position by a Dark Bond. It is absolutely heart breaking watching her struggle to stay positive, try to win this pack over and save herself.I loved the fact that other stories and characters in the series were referred to or in the book. It's been left on a horrifying cliff hanger and I knowing we have almost a year for the next book is going to be painful!Well done Marie Mackay on an excellent book with wonderful characters (even if I do want someone to slap the Alphas across the backs of their heads!)

Mackay has managed to top Havoc, which I never knew was possible! I love dark omegaverse and Mackay always delivers with a side of heartbreak.This is the kind of book that HURTS but you keep reading because it's just so daymn good. I literally couldn't put it down! And every chapter broke my heart, leaving me needing more even as I bled out.I cannot wait for book 2.

3.75⭐️ this was my intro to the poison verse and I really enjoyed this take on omega verse. look forward to seeing how this concludes.

Another brill addition to the poisonverse by Marie Mackay! This book following Vex and her starcrossed scent mated mates is definitely a feels jerker. Vex is dark bonded so has to obey a set of commands instilled in her and she is sent to infiltrate her scent mated mates pack but doesn't expect what she is met with at all.Love, Ebony and Rook and Drake all have their own trauma and are reluctant to accept the small signs they see from their interactions from each other though Drake is an absolute sweetheart. He is one of my favs right now. The relationships develop individually and part of a pack, each love interest gets their moment with Vex and it is always well fleshed out by Marie!You won't regret picking this up and dying for part two now!

Well written omegaverse story. Kept me entertained throughout. Characters with depth. Can't wait til #2. Would recommend and will now follow author.

This book was GREAT! loved the continuation in the poison verse. Perfect mix between heartbreak and hope. Looking forward to the next in the series
