GVDV is a great company that, after buying this knife, I now follow GVDV. I have always loved the Italian Stilleto style of folders. I used to own a switchblade. Although this knife isn't a switchblade, the style, steel type, and quality are worth the price from GVDV. The blade wasn't sharp out of the box, and It definitely took time to sharpen this knife. This is a good thing, because the steel is extremely durable and once it's razor sharp, it will no doubt keep the level of sharpness. Luckily the knife came with a stone to maintain the edge. It opens quickly as well, and is now my edc.

Amazing kenif, it was sharp straight out of the box, it had a great grip, decent size, it had a feel of around three to five pounds ounds, absolutely worth it for 15 bucks

This thing looks cool and is solid. It makes a great SD knife as the large clip allows for easy draw. The scales feel nice and the blade finish looks cool. Blade came sharp. Haven’t really endurance tested the blade as it’s more for carry then a work knife.

Update: Great knife but DO NOT overtighten screw that blade pivots on. Screw stripped and now doesn't open properly. 😟 I have had different knives over the years from Lock blades, a butterfly knife, switchblade, stiletto, and all manner of pocket knives even a military grade combat knife. They are all long gone but for the price and the quality of this knife I was blown away. Yes I had a coupon but still even without a coupon it would have been under $20. I love the fact that it has machine screws that can be taken apart so if you need to clean it lubricate it whatever it is incredible craftsmanship. The fact that it comes with its own sharpening stone is a plus for me as well. I really like the stonewashed finish because I don't really want a bright shiny dinner knife. It's practical and extremely sturdy for the money and it's very easy to close. Having to get around with a pair of canes or a walker quite often times I only have one hand available. Having this open so easily is a real plus as well. I had never heard of this company before but I went on to look at their website and the other reviews and it made it an easy choice to purchase this one. UPDATE. With some oil I was able to make it work properly again! 👌

Good size, works well, easy to open and close

You won't find a better carry knife for the price. The quality, style and durability are as good or better than the knives I've spent $100+ for.

GVDV's Black Stone-Washed flipper knife is a classic, slim stiletto! The flipper-mechanism works well and the blade-lock is very secure. The stone-washed look provides a nice-looking patina with weathered silver edges. This means the knife will retain the same aesthetic if kept in the pocket over time. The blade is sharp and the included sharpening stone is of decent quality and works well. I have quite a few knives and this is now my favorite thanks to the cool stiletto vibe!
