This paper is nice to paint on. Good value for the price.
I like this paper for general paintings. It might not please others but I like that it has two sides with different textures. One side is the typical cold press texture and the other side is so smooth it's almost hot press texture. If I'm painting plen aire, I don't have to take along two different sketchbooks or two kinds of paper. I can just carry a few pages of this paper. It's not flimsy---it has good substance and paint doesn't bleed through if I use wet washes. For this price, I expected inferior paper but was happily surprised that it's actually decent paper. I'm even going to use it as gifts in addition to practice works and studies.

Expect the Unexpected!
I prefer Arches cold pressed watercolor blocks for my serious pieces and Stonehenge cold pressed blocks for not so serious painting. I primarily use Daniel Smith and Holbein and I'll use some Rosa Gallery too. I also use 2B pencil, Micron pigma pens, and Copic fine liners in my works. This is just to give you an idea of what I do with paper. I've painted florals with light washes and landscapes with heavy washes to try out this paper. I even decided not to tape down the pair while doing some wash work (not heavy but not light either) and the paper performed surprisingly well! Now I didn't overwork the paper or do any intense scrubbing, so I can't testify to its quality in that area. I find the quality to be very good and highly unexpected given the price point. I plan to use this paper for practice pieces, brush drills, swatches, small art pieces and cards. In fact I'm going to frame the paintings I painted on this paper as tests.

Great beginner watercolor paper
I bought this paper for myself to do trial projects and my kids to use so that they could have real watercolor paper. They've used plain copy paper until now, and I wanted them to get the feel for how different watercolors are on actual watercolor paper. This paper is great for beginners - it has a nice grain and holds a nice amount of paint. It's definitely not professional quality, but it's great paper for beginners or when you want to do something small or test an idea or supplies.

Not watercolor paper, Not Cotton paper, Don't buy this
This is not watercolor paper, it's not cotton. Terrible, thin, weirdly rough. Watercolor doesn't blend because all the liquid is immediately absorbed. You can't lift paint, can't erase without destroying the surface; this paper is unusable. I have been scammed once again. Don't buy unbranded watercolor paper from Amazon. I placed two orders on the same day from different sellers, hoping one would be good. They are the same paper with the same package markings.

PERFECT WATERCOLOR PIECES
I LOVE this loose paper. It's the perfect size, and the perfect price. It is good quality watercolor paper, and thick enough to prevent bleeding through.

Good for practicing
My granddaughter and I have been using these for practicing our watercolor techniques, as we're both beginners. We think the size is just right. It's a bit rough even on the smooth side but it holds a lot of water and works very well for our purposes. We're happy with it and we've been making new pictures every day. 120 sheets should last us a long time, and the price was reasonable.

Its a great size to encourage you to paint.
This paper is thicker than others I've tried. Very nice for grandkids and just painting on a whim.

Not great, or durable.
I’ve gotten watercolor paper at this price point and in this size and presentation (loose leaf) from Amazon before, and it has always been outstanding. Nice heavy weight paper with smooth, consistently absorbent whether cold or hot. Stretched beautifully and dried quickly. But this wasn’t like that. This paper seemed to not be very dense or very well pressed. It was fluffy, and inconsistent. It does not hold up well to water, and pills and warps easily. Color distribution isn’t even. There’s no reason to choose this over any other watercolor paper here, I’d skip this and find another.

Good sized paper. Buckles if you use a good amount of water to blend inks or watercolour paints, but it is a good thickness

Sadly, the paper is brittle and not cotton. It doesn't absorb water well and I’ve used multiple brands of watercolours and it can’t be worked more than once. So sad because it’s not really cheap and I can’t get the effects that I want. It’s hard to capture what I’m mean with photos but if you know how watercolour is supposed to work then you get what I mean & would be disappointed too. The only thing I like is the size.
