| Amphibia 090679 Automatic Self-Winding Diver Wrist Watch

My first new automatic, been wanting one since Steve Zissou, decided to jump now while they are still available. I wanted a vintage watch, and these are brand new 1960's watches as far as I am concerned. Owning one is a different story from what is often said about them in the video reviews I have watched. Opposite as to what has been said, my experience is as follows: The lume is good, readable into the morning in a dark room. The fit and finish is very good, the hammered surface doesn't scratch that easily, the automatic winding works is sufficient to keep it wound, and the clasp, while about half as thick as my Bulovas hasn't been a problem. The dial and bezel are gorgeous and perfect. The older ones had a handmade charm to them but this one is very precise. The accuracy however matches its reputation. It arrived 80 sec/day fast and the postural deviation is atrocius. I have been able to regulate it down and am using the deviation to its advantage. Tends to run fast in all positions except dial down so when it starts getting too far ahead, I just let it rest that way when I sleep. It is currently 4 seconds from exact time and I have not set it in 10 days. So its a cool watch if you are good with working on it a little. It did not ship with the right band on it but I'm not sad about it, it takes long enough to get them as it is.

Runs pretty great isn’t gaining a ton of time and looks beautiful on the wrist. Has a great mix of vintage charm and durable build thank you so much

Bought this to replace a 710 case model I used to use for work(gave to dad). That one was always off by -30s a day. This watch when I got it was at +90s a day. I was a bit bummed and worked up the guts to regulate it myself. It currently gets from -14 to +20 a day depending on position. Currently on wrist I'm getting +2s a day but it took some tinkering. The crown on this case likes to dig in the top of my hand if I wear it too tight. The strap it comes with is serviceable but cheap. I believe despite all issues it's a solid every day option. If you like to tinker you can't go wrong. I imagine the seller would have fixed my regulation issue if I asked.
