Easy to use and very effective

This is a great tool, it arrived in good time and once my friend who is an experienced woodcarver showed me how to use it I found it very easy to get along with and perfect for keeping my carving knife sharp. No pomplaints from em would happily recommend it to anyone who wants to keep their carving tools sharp

This is a fantastic bit of kit ideal for anyone who enjoys whittling or who works with small bladed tools. The compound is excellent and the variety of shaped strops allows all blade shapes to be sharpened. Excellent.

Great gadget for keeping your tools sharp. Easy to use

A bit on the flimsy side, especially for the price, but not much else around that does the same thing. Useful for honing lino cutting tools. Be sure to look up how to use it on YouTube. Draw the tool towards you, not away or you will strip off the flimsy wood.

I purchased this item as an addition to my Flexcut Whittling Knives and Chisels which are all brilliant tools. I previous used old leather scraps with polishing compound to keep my knives sharp which worked for many years. However, since investing in Flexcut Carving Chisels I have found no better way of keeping them sharp than this system. This strop is a double sided system. On one side is a large piece of flat leather (around 100mm/4inch square) which is used for the knives and the outside edge of the carving chisels. On the side is a series of shaped strops specifically designed to match the contours of Flexcut Chisels (although other brands also work well). This side is designed to remove the burrs from the internal curve of the chisels after stropping the outside for an ultra sharp cut. If you have never used a strop or would like to know more, Flexcut have a video on YouTube on how to use this product. Its a very good price for what it is, especially as its a Flexcut product and is worth every penny if you own Flexcut Chisels. As other reviewers have said, a great stocking filler for any whittler
