I have been trying to improve my upper body strength, and these weights are just what I was looking for. They are well balanced and easy to hold, and I am never afraid they are going to slip out of my hands. I like the different colors and have bought four sets. OK, that's a silly statement, but here's why I said that: I needed to work up to heavier weights gradually. In progressing from thee to five lbs for above-the-head lifts, for example, I held the three plus one to make four, etc. The one-lb weight has allowed me to transition more gradually between lighter to heavier weights. My husband laughs at this puny pink one-lb weight, but I pay no attention. LOL

I purchased these dumbells in 15lb weight as an intermediate weight for at home workouts using the Caroline Girven Epic series YouTube workouts. As a female with smaller hands I find these neoprene cover dumbells the most comfortable to hold, and the diameter of the grip works well for my hand size. They have a matt finish with a “grippy” texture that do not slide around even with sweaty hands. They also are kinder to my floors when I set them down if I am not using a gym mat. A great buy at a good price.
