Q: The description says "titanium construction". But the picture looks like a plastic bottle. Is it really made of titanium?

Good eye! In one place it says polyurethane ..an in another, titanium. It is poly & ours leaked like a sieve.

Q: Has anyone found a metal sleeve that this fits into for protection from puncture and abuse?

NO. It is a pretty tough bottle. I was worried about that as well. But once I got it and took it backpacking, I found that placing it in my bag in an upright position was not that difficult.

Q: I calculate the capacity is 12 fluid ounces (based on the product dimensions). Can someone please confirm the actual capacity? Thanks.

The bottle's fill line is 8 oz, but you could squeeze another half ounce in there to fill to the top it you wanted to. I use 2oz per boil. I have never had a leak or spill with this bottle. Well worth the purchase price.

Q: Can denatured alcohol be used as a a red wine stain remover?

Depends what the red wine stained. Denatured alcohol will work on non porous items such as glass. But will not work on things like granite or marble. You would want an acid based cleaner on those stains
