Amazing Compact Electric Shaver
This is my first Manscaped product ever and I'm glad I gave this a chance. I was using a BaBylissPRO MetalFX double foil shaver for the past 2 years as my portable electric shaver in the car when I woke up late and didn't have time to shave or when I travel and don't want to bring my large Braun Series 9 Pro+ with me. However, my BaBylissPRO MetalFX shaver got lost when the airport lost my luggage so I was looking for a replacement. I didn't want to drop another $170 for the same compact electric shaver so I looked at alternatives. Lo and behold I saw the Manscaped Handyman on sale for $56. it's less than 3x as cheap as the BaBylissPRO MetalFX so I thought I'd give it a chance at that price. I'm glad I did because this is an excellent compact electric shaver. The main thing that makes this compact electric foil shaver stand out from other similarly sized items is that it has a hybrid design. You get one foil shaver on the bottom that gives you a close shave but a trimmer on top that cuts down longer hair. All the other compact electric foil shavers that I've tried either came with just one foil shaver or two foil shaver. Now some people might not like the hybrid design since it might take more passes on your face to get a close shave (again it's only ONE foil shaver for a close shave) compared to an electric shaver that has two foil shavers, but I like the versatility of having the foil shaver and a trimmer together in case I don't shave for a few days and my facial hair is too long. The BaBylissPRO MetalFX that I had came with a stronger motor (at least it feels stronger with how much the thing vibrates in my hands and how much louder it is) but it struggled if my facial hair was a tad long. The BaByliss shaver would yank my hair if this was the case and I would need to trim it down first before I try shaving again. I am glad to say that the Manscaped Handyman was able to still cut down my facial hair to skin even after 5 days of not shaving. I know Manscaped advertises it as being able to cut up to 3 days of stubble, but for my straight facial hair I could go 5 days and the Handyman will still mow through my facial hair without any issues. This versatility of being able to cut down longer facial hair and shorter stubble makes this a superior compact electric shaver FOR MY NEEDS. If you shave every day without fail and your facial hair doesn't grow out that long then you'll probably prefer a different compact electric shaver with at least two foil blades to make less passes and save a little time (my old BaBylissPRO MetalFX is an excellent option if this is you). I haven't had any nicks since using the Handyman and it does provide a very close shave. It's not the closest but it's pretty close. Other pros would be the magnetic cap is easy to take on and off. The entire shaver is waterproof and it charges with a USB C cable (one less cable to carry around). Battery life lasts longer than my old BaBylissPRO Metal FX too. As a matter of fact, I haven't need to charge the Handyman since the initial charge on the first day I got this. The ergonomics of this compact electric shaver is pretty comfortable and won't make your hands cramp. The entire shaver is easy to clean and the shaving head pops on and off easily to rinse as well. Now for cons. It does take a little longer and more passes to shave your facial hair down to skin due to the hybrid design of having only one foil side and one trimmer side (again double foil blades would be faster if you only have stubble). If you run your fingers around your jawline against the grain of your facial hair after shaving, you might still feel stubble poking your fingers. People can't see the facial hair for the majority of the day though. At this price point I can't really complain at all. Only my full size Braun Series 9 Pro+ and my dad's Panasonic Arc 5 gives me a closer shave that's reminiscent of a manual or safety razor, but those are substantially larger and more expensive. Also Manscaped doesn't directly sell you the replacement heads on Amazon (there are 3rd party ones on though that are cheaper) so you would need to pay for shipping if you're just buying the replacement heads or need to spend $50 for free shipping on their site. I would highly recommend this if you're looking for a versatile compact electric shaver that can cut stubble and slightly longer facial hair down to skin. For how well this shaves, I thought this was well worth $56.

Powerful little razor, use with care!
When I first tried this it irritated my lower neck something terrible, but with more use that is no longer a problem. This razor earned its keep when it cleaned up a 4-day beard that my Braun Series 3 couldn't handle. Really did a great job, and easy to use. Good size for travel and excellent battery life also make this a keeper.

Fantastic product, very happy with purchase.
I picked this up on sale for $56 and it is well worth the money, even at full retail of $80. The shaver is extremely well built, quiet, and effective. It shaves very close, and quickly without many passes, leaving no razor burn (my face is already trained from an old Remington foil shaver that is on it's last battery legs. I've replaced the foils once). This Manscaped Handyman shines on closeness of shave, construction, and compactness. I love the USB C charge port (no more clunky wall warts with proprietary connectors). Fantastic product.

Nice "on the go" shaver
I love its compactness and ease of use. That being said it does not cut very well in certain creases (it left a few stragglers along my neck mainly). It was also a bit of an ordeal cutting longer facial hair (took quite a few swipes in various different directions). At the end of the day, it's a nice "on the go" shaver that will do the job and it handles stubble pretty well.

Today I was this years old when…
My life changed forever! Where has this been my whole life?! 44yo male seeks near perfect shave. Voilà enter the Manscape Handiman foil shaver!! So I was shopping for a new beard trimmer since my Panasonic (POS) adjustable beard trimmer took a permanent vacation in the dumpster. Man that thing worked well but battery life was sub 5 minutes and the adjustable comb was always moving in the middle of a beard butification project. Not cool. When the comb broke I excitedly looked for a replacement and the Manscape beard hedger appeared in a white glorious cloud touted with rave reviews. Before I even noticed it was in my cart and ready to bless my beard and make all my manly friends jealous. But wait. What is that handsome little handyman shaver doing paired up as an acceptable bundle package?! I must admit my pleasure with my current Norelco Razor was dismal and my curiosity was peaked. Sure, I’ll capitalize on this match made in heaven. I must admit, my expectations were low. 30 years ago on this day, my fathers foil shaver almost took off my face when that first sign of puberty struck with the sprout of a singular facial follicle erupted on my upper lip. It was an experience that traumatized me to my core and my fear of foil shavers was born. My hands trembled upon opening the Handyman packaging. It was beautiful but, would this Hanson little device devour my face and leave me scarred like Deadpool in a wake of trauma and terror? It took all my strength and courage to finally power the little beast to life and get it within range of my two day old stubble. In sheer shock and amazement I realized my fear was stale and unnecessary. The Handyman took on my stubborn and often ingrown beard hairs like a Chinese ninja with the precision and smoothness of only the worlds most deadly and sharp katana sword. I was utterly speechless. It devastated those angry hairs and vanished and resemblance of unwanted facial hairs. Spectacular. Seriously though. I haven’t had this close of a shave with an electric razor in my lifetime. It was fast, smooth as butter and as perfect as you can get with electric. The double sided device with a trimmer on the other side is pure genius and the fact you can charge with a usb c is gold. It fits perfectly in my travel kit like it was made to be there where as my Norelco would not. I’m in love. Oh and the beard hedger is freaking awesome too!!

Worth the purchase, I'm glad I bought it!
Works great, better than I expected. Comfortable shave, no stubble. Easy to clean, reliable, and waterproof. You can get a fresh fast shave in minutes. I highly recommend for men who like electric shavers.

Foil shaver vs. Blades
Shaver was very good quality and had very good battery life. I'm just used to a razor shave which was way better and took about the same time.

I'm impressed
I've been a cream and razor shaver for the past 35 years, I've tried a few electric razors but they all irritated my face and I was never able to get a close shave on my neck. After using this for a couple of days and my face getting used to it no more irritation and it gets a close shave all over. Very easy to clean and the battery charge lasts several days shaving every day.
