This is so robust and excellent care has been taken to put this all together,I would definitely buy again as this is really great and an excellent price definitely worth it, It was so easy to put together and done quite quickly.

First one arrived damaged as plastic parts are seem quite brittle and were bashed in transit. When I got the replacement it is very sturdy for the price. It's very large and stable - ideal for condenser mics and overheads.

Both stands arrived in the same box with base, stand and microphone holder all separate ready to screw together. Both of the stands would not screw into the base as either the thread on the base or stand was not right after trying a combination of both stands and base. Needed urgently so after half hour of forcibly trying to get the stand to bite into the base and one turn at a time managed to secure it but would never be able to take it apart again. The other stand and base still wont fit together no matter how hard I try or wd40 or grease used. The microphone holders which screw in at the top are poor quality and are a spring release system and when screwing in both springs popped out and therefor couldn't grip the microphone, found one of the springs to put back in but not ideal and will fall out again when moved around. Overall not fit for purpose in my opinion especially the price they are and would have expected a more premium product.

I read a few reviews of this mic stand before purchasing. There were a few complaints about the threaded section at the bottom of the main pole being too fragile. After assembling this stand I can confirm that the threads are cut deep enough to weaken the pole at the joint to the base and I would not trust this with an expensive mic. I was able to reinforce this area with a steel insert which will prevent any problems so I am happy with my purchase but I cant recommend it to others unless they are very handy with tools.

The microphone clip quality is not good.

Right away, one can feel the heft of the base of this stand. I tried to knock it around a little bit, but it always rolled back and straightened up on its own... very sturdy. To assemble the pole, there were 2 sections joining together. That surely beat others which came with 3 separate sections making them weaker for having too many joints. The twist lock seemed very positive and held on very tight. The included mic holder which I did not use looked decent. There were only one cord clip provided; but since I was using it for a wireless mic, this fact was irrelevant anyway. The setup was a no brainer, no need for the included instruction. My Shure mic fit right on this stand without any mod or adaptor. Highly recommended.
