Great mat works well for cleaning and maintenance. Very easy to wash off oil afterwards. I really like the magnetic circles i use them to hold a 8 inch light that falls over if I just put it on the table.

Some of the springs, bearings, washers, and screws on knives can be quite small, so this mat gives me some peace of mind when trying to keep track of everything. I don't use it every day, so I can't speak to durability under heavy use. It would probably be fine as long as you aren't using it for a cutting board or pounding on it with a hammer. It was shipped rolled up in a box, but it laid flat immediately. No problems with creasing or turned up corners/edges. In short, it works exactly as described and designed. Seems to be a good value for the money.
