Really easy to use. We have a deep kidney-shaped pool; 38,000 gal. We have a Polaris robotic unit and a Pool-Skim surface leaf device, but even they get overwhelmed with leaves this time of year. We charged this little vac overnight and it really helped hit small batches of leaves that still made it to the bottom but I didn't want to put the Polaris in. I use our standard pole- the one it comes with is good for hot tubs but our pool is too deep so used our pole. We had a competitor's leaf vac and the battery case always leaked. This unit's batteries are built-in and nice to just charge it. We liked how the vac bag has a styrofoam float to keep the bag upright; our old unit's bag constantly got wrapped around the pole or under it so this was a nice touch. It took quick care of the Chinese Pistache tree leaves that get into our pool, but it had a tough time with some silver maple leaves- which normally are too far from the pool but we had some heavy wind. The vac ran well and was still going at 30 minutes of continuous use so that was impressive. The vacuuming flow isn't super strong but again, it worked very well for our needs. I definitely will be ordering an extra bag or two so I can just keep going and then empty the bags when I'm completely finished. Also comes with a sheet of letters/numbers that are stylized to look like Navy ship hull numbers/letters- we'll be giving it a name here soon- kinda fun. I think this will be a good unit and hopefully will get 3-4 years use out of it. I'm sure the battery will Peter-out eventually and it doesn't appear replaceable. That's sadly the nature of manufacturing overseas and domestic- planned or forced obsolescence. With good care and storing the unit in a cool space, and not over-charging it, I'm hoping to keep this running as long as possible.

After extensive research, I determined this was the correct size unit for my 8'x16' Intex above ground pool! I love this vacuum! Major timesaver for a quick cleaning! Very light weight, well made and sturdy. Very simple design and easy to use/clean. Debating on finer catch bag, but this bag collects all of the leaves and 95+% of the particles on the bottom. I may have to vacuum occasionally to retrieve very fine particles and dead algae, but since I've been using it, filter maintenance has been a breeze (much cleaner filter) I have clogged this unit one time... but I admit I was a little too aggressive on a cluster of leaves that was way too large! I've gotten 2 cleanings on 1 charge (and yet to fully discharge) I always charge after 2nd use... battery life will tell the whole story. Well worth the money and a "must have" if your pool resides under a tree. .

Before I start, the manfacturer of this products should give me this for free after this comprehensive review. Like the title says, we have built 4 homes here in south, central and now northern Florida. The reason I decided to try this system is because 99% of the pool cleaners work off the pressure from the enclosed pool system. I have had a Navigator, a Shark, a Red Devil and two bladder types that look like a big rubber plate. You attach the cleaner to a intake that is built into the wall of the pool. It has a safety cap on it, you remove it, stick in the hose that connects to the pool and it starts cleaning until it doesn't. These types of pool cleaners are expensive, the parts are expensive to replace and they all wear out. It will stop over raised Haywood drain caps, can get hung up in a corner but most of the issues have to do with a lack of suction in the system. The main reason for a lack of suction is if the pool water rises over the skimmer box in the pool, the suction stops until you let enough water out of the pool for the air to enter the skimmer box. So with the cost of water here in Florida, it makes no sense to continue to empty your pool after a heavy rain to make your pool cleaner work. And then what if you empty enough to get the water level below the top of the skimmer box and it doesn't rain for two weeks? Happens all the time. So then you have to add water back. It is ridiculous and so I decided I wanted this type of system or one of those robot types that also works on a charge. I tried it today and it worked! You must have your own generic pool pole; the one they give you is ridiculous. It is only big enough for your bathtub. You must have one of those adjustible pool poles. They are about $20. It is slow but it has plenty of power (I have the #410) to pick up dirt and particles. I have a 17 x 14 pool so it is small. But it will work on any size pool. The negatives are it takes some time to use it and a lot more time to clean out the bag. I set the dirty bag in a sink after pulling it inside out, of course, and I'd say it takes about 10 minutes to clean it out. I kept shaking it out. Be careful when you put the bag on and make sure you use that little white gadget to close and lock the bag in place. it has a little release button; very cleaver. For the price, so long as it holds up, I'm saying it is a go. Now, I have only used it once, but it is sturdy enough to make a call. It takes about an hour to charge and I will use mine a couple of times a week and be happy with it. It has a warranty of some sort. Who knows? There are robot units but if you have a coved pool like most are in Florida, the only ones that work are over $800.00 I took a shot at this knowing I got it through Amazon. So far, so good.

This vacuum is the best that i have used. It picks up debris and anything else at the bottom of the pool. I am very satisfied with it. I donated all both of my robot cleaners as they did not live up to my expectations. I highly recommend this one to help keep your pool clean. It meets all my expectations and longevity, yes it still works after 2 summers.

Love this vacuum! Easy to use, easy to empty the bag when it fills. Once charged, it runs for a long time, long enough for me to clean our 20’X36’ pool. Also it charges up fairly quickly. We have a 9’ deep end and the pole isn’t long enough to get to the bottom while standing outside on the pool deck but you.hop in the pool, grab the edge and vacuum and it works great. Good suction and all goes right into the bag. Also you can get a longer pole if needed and exchange but I didn’t mind getting in the pool. This little vacuum really does the job and gets it all clean. The only thing to be aware of and a mistake I made was to try and charge up before checking where you plug in charger and make sure there was no moisture in that area, I burnt out the motor and had to replace because I was impatient. I hadn’t charged the night before and I had to replace, which I gladly did because I love this little vacuum. We have owned our pool for almost 30 years and I have been cleaning it manually for years to save the cost on a vacuum system so when I saw this on Amazon, the price was right and I so needed to make cleaning it easier. We have a lot of trees around the pool and I am not getting any younger. Can’t recommend this little worker enough and you won’t be disappointed if you purchase, just be sure not to charge if there is any moisture in the charge plug port.
