Q: Does it work with Echo Plus as Zigbee is built-in? Or do I still need Trust Hub?

I took the risk - and it works fine. Insert the battery - stick the pin thing in the side for 1 second as per the instructions. Then open the Alexa app on your phone and scan for new device. I thought maybe it wasn't going to work as it scanned for the full 30 seconds or so - but it popped up when the scan was complete. I was able to rename it and it is now happily turning on the heater in the conservatory every time the door is opened. Will look to refine this (ie only turn the heater on if the door is open for more than 10 seconds) but will need to do some reading for that bit I think. BTW I did not need to install the Trust ZigBee app either - it just worked natively with my Echo Plus (1st Gen).

Q: Has anyone used this sensor with a conbee ii usb key? i'm hoping to integrate it into home assistant without buying yet another bridge/hub

Have used it with a Ruckus hub and that works fine. It seems to use standard zigbee protocol.

Q: It says ‘compatible’ with hue. does that mean i can use my hue bridge to manage the sensor or will i still need one of their bridges?

Hi it needs it’s own bridge and it’s a nightmare to set up even with it, I have tried everything and lost hope and sent the items back
