Ovaltine European Formula Malted Drink, 14.1 Ounce

I guess I'm the only one on here that thought this would be sweet. Regardless, it still tastes delicious and like the ovaltine I've known growing up. I have absolutely no trouble with it dissolving when using hot water, so if you're having trouble with it dissolving, you might want to try using some hot water. Afterward, I add some oat milk for a nice ovaltine latter similar to wushi land bobas own. YUM.

Testy and good for kids to drink milk with famous one since long time

I have been taking Ovaltine in different parts of world India Pakistan (made in UK) in Middle East and for some years in US This Ovaltine formula is certainly not European as it Says. The Malt extra dominating. No added sugar which is ok But I am not happy with the Taste which is not how I remember and have it in me Its just a version of Ovaltine. The product manufacturing information is hidden in a way that you have to search for it. I have the right to know where this product was made posted boldly on package On searching the very fine text you find it was imported from Thailand and us a European formula… sorry no way even near it. The pictures of the product on Amazon are intentionally hazy so you can’t determine the origin of product People may still like it but not for me. The US made is much closer to original Also rejected by family Good luck

I loved Ovaltine years ago. And the Indonesian one was even better than the American version. I bought this jar based on a review that said it is European (it was not; it's Indonesian). I was excited when I saw that because I remember how strong the malted flavor was. It used to taste like malted milk balls, but better. This Ovaltine tasted NOTHING like I remember. It was like lightly flavored water. I hated it. Plus, when it was mixed, there was product stuck to the sides of the cup. I did mix it well, but it was like a dirty whey type of film along the inside of the cup near the surface of the liquid. It was a turn-off and gross. I cannot recommend this item, and would not order this again. I am getting rid of it. You cannot return this item.

This formula makes a delicious drink. The "original" Ovaltine formula, available to me in the 1950's and through the 1960's, was a special treat. And this is the closest formula I have found to date. It dissolves quickly and the chocolaty malty taste is excellent. I'd rate it 4.5 stars if Amazon allowed because 5 stars applies only if this was in fact the original formula!

The Ovaltine in France is different and has a better flavor than what is sold in the US. We found this, which is indeed the European style, as advertised. It is just fine to replace what our child missed after we moved back, but the cost of shipping makes it impractical to order routinely.

By USA standards this is bitter. Taste is kind of like bitter dark chocolate - not as sweet as standard Ovaltine. I really like it. Have not tested it in a ice cream milk shake yet... but do plan to. Would recommend this to anyone and will buy again.

I live in the U.S. and so the Ovaltine on our market shelves is full of sugar. I was impressed with the european brand and the little amount of sugar it contained. This product is like the Ovaltine my grandmother used to drink.
