Cute and a nice distraction
I bought this for my bf as a present and while it was a pain to build -- or so I heard --- it came out looking very nice.

it's lovely
Assembling it was quite an experience. I just advise you to organize the pieces well; although it takes quite a while, it's entertaining at the same time and well worth it.

Fun kit focused on constructing/gluing the miniatures
Directions were clear, and I loved how well they laid out the wiring for the lights. I taped them down with clear tape and it worked great! This kit uses a lot of glue. It is not included so make sure you pick a good one with a fine tip. The pieces do not click together much. You are often gluing blunt surfaces to other blunt surfaces. Like the stairs. That is just flat boards glued to each step and kickboard. The challenge is you only have one side of the staircase to glue to! Not sure why it is called Secret Castle. I think Cozy Cats would have been better. And the little powder room and toilet is so great. Solid kit. Took me 9 hours. Mostly due to gluing.

Beautiful, fun and patience needed.
This was a fun project. You have to be patient as it takes time. I loved it and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for something to do and has patience.

10/10 Would Recommend
This is my first build like this. I've done three lego sets (bonsai, fender guitar/amp, and camper van) and love them, but legos are expensive af. So I discovered this world of miniature builds and this is my first one. I LOVE it. I have about 19 hours in it. It is extremely detailed. You will need glue, patience, an exacto knife, and a safe environment for fragile parts. (I have three cats and dog, I kept the tiny drying pieces in a shoe box) I used the transparent Elmer's glue and gorilla super glue for a couple of places. The gorilla glue bubbles and dries white so don't use it in visible areas. The super glue was a life saver, especially on the balcony part. The light kit wasn't very well explained in the instructions, so look ahead on that front so you can see where all the wires are supposed to go. Honestly, this is my first build and I couldn't be happier with the process, the instructions, and the result. (Except for the wiring thing, but if I figured it out, you will too!) 10/10 Also, I found out at the end that apparently there's a music box option. Just get it because I wish I would have.

Love it
Love this booknok. Although I used hot glue I didn’t know these things were supposed to come with glue and this one didn’t so heads up.

So fun!
I loved this! It was easy to put together, fun, and definitely kept me entertained. Definintly going to purchase more of these in the future. It looks cute on the bookshelf too! One downside though... the lighting for it is a little finicky. My switch doesn't work on it's own so I have to take off the bottom piece to turn it on which is annoying but overall I don't mind too much.

Came together fairly easy just a few pieces that had trouble getting together

I ended up breaking some of the smaller pieces (too strong, I guess), but some had replacements. The quality was good, and the instructions well written. I’ve already built a second one!
