I took up needle felting a couple of weeks ago because I wanted something to pass the time and possibly to make gifts. I bought this little kit to see whether I enjoy it. It's been brilliant and worth every penny. There is not a huge amount of wool but definitely enough to add colour to what I've been learning. Having everything I needed in 1 box was great to see if I could do felting and I'm hooked. Everything else I need to make stuff is also available from amazon so I'm happy.

Get a lot for your money, but you soon realise why there are so many needles. Needles are very weak they tend to bend and break very easily. I broke 3 needles in the process of making a poppy.

A little bit disappointed with size, however plenty of items within for beginners.

I bought this as a gift for my step-mum for Christmas and whilst I think the kit is fantastic, the roving isn't 'wool', it's synthetic. As a textiles specialist with over 10 years experience working with natural fibres, even before I did a fibres test, I could tell this wasn't wool. For the eager felter, real wool is always preferable and nicer to work with so disappointed I didn't get what I paid for. For you information, wool is a fibre and roving is the material. Wool is not the name of a style of material but a raw fibre from a woolen animal such as a sheep. Please change the material to synthetic so others aren't likewise deceived.

My wife loved getting this as a way to begin a new hobby she started out using this and it comes with many different colours for you to try out some different designs. my only thing is I would recommend anyone getting this to also purchase a 100g of core wool for your designs to make your colour wool go further.
