A magnet is embedded in the round wood disc, which spins on two of these bearings. When the magnet whips past the magnet, the spark plug (not attached yet) shows the spark.

OK bearings for the price, I use them for decorative windmills so I'm not looking for the most perfect roll, they could be smoother but will work well for toys and such. Not the ones I would pick for more demanding use, at last some of them are a tiny bit rough...
