Easy to make. Id recommend to caramelize the sugar. Used the caps and yeast for carbonation. You have to get use to the taste. It's a more realistic flavor like a tea. So don't expect a fake over powering flavor of syrup. But after a glass or 2 it grows on you. I actually really like it now

Purchased this as a gift for my dad - an avid root beer lover and also someone who enjoys cooking and making things by hand. I was struggling to find a gift, as someone that “has everything”. I wanted something more unique. It was super convenient as it comes with everything you need to make your own root beer at home. He really enjoyed it! Will definitely keep on the back burner as a gift idea for other family members and friends in the future as well.

It was a fun project with the kids. We did all the things.. caramelized the sugar, used the yeast to carbonate the one bottle. Saved the other half of the syrup. The resulting root beer syrup smelled and tasted great! But the actual end result using the yeast was just okay; certainly not the most amazing root beer I've even had. We will use seltzer water with the remaining syrup. I think it will be better.

This is a great way to make hot chocolate. These are more of a dark chocolate a bit bitter for me so I add a bit of sweetener to them but all in all they are great

The kit was fun to make, and our caramelized sugar came out great. The flavor is preference, all the work and we did not like the root beer flavor, was too earthy and did not taste like root beer at all. I let it sit in the refrigerator awhile to see if would improve and it did not. I feel the kit is pricey for what you get and that the flavor of the root beer tea is not close to traditional root beet flavor. It was a fun and expensive project. Will not purchase again.

Great for our 8 year old daughter!

Terrible taste. Made it exactly per directions using seltzer (not yeast way). Smelled good like rootbeer. Could not get taste out of our mouths. Process was easy looking forward to finished product but what a disappointment and a waste of money! Would not recommend.
