I have bought a few of these and they seems to lose voltage under load. This one dropped by less than a volt at full load and was perfect for the job. It's probably twice the size of cheaper units and loooks very well made. You get what you pay for I guess.

Bought this for a diesel heater that can take up to 15a at 12v on start up and it has no problem , the resistor can adjust it no problem and I set it up to 12.8v using volt meter as the heater will cut out if it drops below 12 on start up and now at 12.8 it fires up no problem. I've had it a month now and with daily use as its getting cold here yea this thing is running the heater be it on low power after start its not failed yet , I've had other psu's from the same maker in 5v 20a versions that power my led strings and there's still going after 2 years , good product and seem to be great quality.

Why did you choose this product over others?:Bought this to power an arduino controlled 12v pump designed to run off a car battery. Due to the car battery eventually failing despite regular charges, I wanted a permanent solution that ran from the mains, so thought I would try this. I’ve tried multiple 12v supplies before, but none of them could handle the load and start up draw of the motor, but this handles it with ease. Voltage stays stable with a slight drop as expected under load, can’t remember what I measured it as, I just adjusted the output voltage to compensate for the small drop. Wish I’d bought it sooner as it would’ve saved me having to keep monitoring and charging the car battery, this is a set and forget solution!

I use this to heat a 3D printer bed. It works very well, is quiet and runs cool, but beware that it might be electrically noisy and have EMI.In particular it upsets my temperature sensor when delivering higher currents >10 Amps. I put some ferrites on the output leads to compensate and smoothing caps and filters, now and it seems ok. So EMC might be an issue using this.

Bought this to take the place of a hot and hummy old transformer-based psu for my car-type sub bass amplifier used in the home. Great improvement: cool running, steady voltage regulation (which you can adjust a bit if you want) and no RFI issues. More current: more thump!

I was struggling to get my diesel heater to work from my Jackery on 12v. Bought this unit as it was over-specced by about 50% on amperage. It holds 12v absolutely rock solid whether I’m just starting the heater or the heater is on tickover. Will definitely be buying another for my next diesel heater for the shed/workshop.
