Great "trader-upper" for our pup
The time has come for our now 11 week old Setter pup to use a larger meal bowl and I'm very happy with my purchase of this stoneware bowl. The size is perfect and will do him several weeks until the next size up will be needed. The bowl is also heavy enough that he can't push it around or overturn it. It arrived carefully packaged in two layers of bubble wrap and the large sticker inside the bowl thankfully came out without leaving any trace of stickiness behind. I see that some reviewers had issues with the bowl's glazing but mine wasn't in any way faulty and looks great.

Good quality bowls
Was looking for a heavier cat bowl as my cat has a habit of trying to empty his water. Mason and cash are a good quality brand so went for them. I got two bowls so easy to switch between the two whilst cleaning ect. Solid bowls with a good reputation and do the job. They also are very easy to clean and can be popped into the dishwasher too. They look alright and do the job!

Love it!
I have a staffie that tends to push his bowls around the kitchen which totally puts him off eating as it's too much faffing for him. This looks smart, easily cleaned and he isn't able to move it which is awesome so he has been happily enjoying his meals. Also as said, it is easily cleaned - we made the rookie mistake of having a plastic bowl which became scratched up over time from his teeth and I noticed he was getting some spots on the lower part of his mouth, looked it up and it turns out it can happen with plastic bowls due to bacteria so am really pleased I changed. For people talking about a slimy feel on the bowls, its your dogs drool. I promise you. I have a similar water bowl for my dog and it has always happened but if you take a decent scrubber and some washing up liquid (or just chuck it in the dishwasher if you have one) and give it a good scrub with a decent layer of washing up liquid on it to cut through the drool and hot water to wash it off after you will find it comes off nice and easy and the bowls no longer feel slimy at all. I got the same issue when I had to use a casserole dish for his food bowl as well. It's gross but hey ho.

Dog bowl
I bought this for my 16yr old yorkie, he had numerous Health problems and kept throwing the stainless steel water bowl across the floor, spilling it repeatedly, so I opted for a heavy one, sadly I had to let him go on 9th Jan and the bowl arrived after. But it is very strong, and fairly, heavy so a 4lb little scrap like Pixieboy could not really move it the same as he could the one he had. I reccomend this, my Jrt is using it now and then for food. Its not enormous but within reason for a toy or small dog.

Hit and miss with damages by the looks of it
Bought four of these as we have 2 pups (2 in use, 2 in wash) but as you can see from the pics one of them arrived damaged, which was fine. Tried to do a simple replacement, but couldn't do this, I had to return it, wait for the refund, then I decided to buy a single one, but turns out i can't just buy a single one, I had to buy another 3 to make an even number, so I now have 6 bowls. Unfortunately one of the replacements is also chipped, but I do not want to go through the refund process again to have a buy another 2 because it won't allow me to buy a single item or simply to just replace the one broken item. I think its just another way to get money. Otherwise I was really happy with the items as they are a nice size and really durable as my pups knock across the floor when running for their ball through to the back garden so not entirely sure how I received two broken ones on separate orders. Something that may make these better is a rubber base so that they don't slide across kitchen floor tiles.

it is traditional and sturdy and it wont slide across the kitchen when my pup is having breakfast!

We have a lot of different dishes for our dog: stainless steel ones, plastic ones, ceramic and pottery ones.. I like this one the best though. It's heavy so it doesn't go skittering around the floor, it cleans up really nice in the dishwasher (you do wash your dogs dish, don't you?). It's very attractive whether you go for simplistic modern or very traditional. Santa might even bring a spare for a doggie stocking i like it that much. Cons: yes it's breakable like much of the good things in life, but its so much nicer than plastic !

I could feed my dog out of a tramp’s shoe and he’d eat it so he doesn’t care, but I like the look of it.

Der Hundenapf ist prima. Durch schlechte Verpackung war leider einer der beiden Näpfe kaputt.
