These toys are hard plastic so they are not cuddly. But other than that, they look completely real and the pup makes a small snoring sound as it breathes that is totally adorable. There is no off switch so you have to take the battery out if you want them to stop. It is lovely to have the pup just sit there.

This is a cute little pup, complete with bed, adoption papers, brush & cardboard carry box. It's just simpler and smaller than I expected and not the soft, cuddly-type critter I anticipated so I'm not sure if I will gift it to the person intended. It works just fine, but I also feel it's a little pricey for what you get. I'm updating this review because I did give the pup to my elder sister, and it has brought her comfort and sheer pleasure ever since. Sadly, my sis has dementia, and her husband of 50+ years has been ill in the hospital, then rehab for months. My sweet sister now keeps her favorite puppy on her bed, pets it and talks to it. She knows this pup isn't real, but she still loves it, so I do, too!

I love the product but would have preferred an on and off switch. Especially since there is a compartment in the dog for one.. I am sure as someone on you tube stated it wouldn’t cost very much to insert one. He inserted one in his.
