Great DC Jr from IYV
Lightweight, very yellow, with IYV's consistent quality fit and finish, the ILJR-200 delivers the look, feel and sound of a great DC Junior at an entry level price. The single P90 sounds bright and punchy, distorts great, and cleans up nicely with volume and tone dialed down. Neck feels like a slightly wide C profile. Side dots, but no fret markers as shown in the listing, fretwork is very good, crowned and polished with no sprout or sharp ends. Guitar is very light, under 6 lbs, Plays and sounds great after tuning right out of the box, it looks like they use quality strings and get the action right before leaving the factory. IYV builds for Harley Benton and takes pride in their product, if you've wanted to try a good P90 guitar, you won't find a better one near this price with Amazon's return policy.

I'd buy this again in a heartbeat, even though it wasn't perfect.
Let's be realistic. For what these costs, I expected it to be a trainwreck. But instead, what I received is a very nice guitar that was playable out of the box, looks great, and sounds way better than I expected. Sure, the tuners arrived with a bit of slop in most of them (tightening the screws in the buttons helped a lot) and two of them don't turn that smoothly. And the nut is cut a bit tight (the strings ping during tuning). But those are both easy to deal with and pretty inexpensive. I took 1 star away for them. But overall: - It has good bones. The neck is straight, the frets needed no work to be playable, the neck feels pretty good. - the P90 sounds a lot warmer than I expected, given it's proximity to the bridge. I really like that. - It looks great - It will make a good platform to upgrade, if I choose.

Nice guitar!
I did not have very high expectations for this guitar considering the price. Also I had almost given up since I ordered the guitar 11 months prior. I was pleasantly surprised after opening the box and inspecting. Unlike the reviewer of the first issue of this guitar, the one that I received has position markers on the fretboard as well as the side of the neck. After slightly adjusting the string height, the guitar plays beautifully. The neck is chunky as would be found on the original. The p90 pickup sounds great. The only noticable flaw was a chip in the fretboard at the first fret. I was also concerned about intonation since the bridge/saddle is not angled like the original, but it seems to be fine. The weight is balanced between the body and neck and feels very solid. I give it a thumbs up.👍

Sweet yellow rose
Can't fault anything with this P-90 double cut. The vintage yellow is attention getting. Pretty much flawless except for a really small area on the curvature of the lower bout beside the pick guard where an unevenly sanded area, 3/4", can be felt and seen if you look carefully. Again unnoticeable unless you're looking for it. The tuners are fairly smooth. The nut is cut well and appears to be bone. The frets are finished nicely along the jatoba fretboard . The wrap a round bridge matches the fretboard radius and allows for individual intonation of the g and b strings. Volume and tone knobs are period accurate. The P-90 really rips, no need for upgrade here. That said, for under $150 delivered, this little rose can't be beat. Just wish they had added fret markers .EDIT: after 2 months of ownership, cracks are appearing on the fretboard from the 7th fret ip and down the center of the board, somewhere around where fret markers would be located, possibly because of stress caused due to lack of relief in the material. Too late to return.

Making the IYV tv yellow LP junior perfect!
These are really great guitars BUT you may have to invest some time and resources to make it perfect. Because the guitar is made from very light weight wood , the initial bridge post began to lean and be pulled forward. I tried a bigsby style Tremelo to change the string stress angle but it wouldn’t stay in tune ( Tremelos fault) so I installed a stop tailpiece with some washer to absorb stress and after making some careful measurements…. Problem solved!

Nice guitar great price
I pre-ordered this IVY ILJR-200 on March the 14th, and just received it today. The shipping weight showed 11.5 pounds, so I was expecting a brick, but of course, Amazon includes at no extra charge an oversized outer box with no packing materials so the inside box just bounces around. Fortunately, no harm was done. A featherweight at 5.6 pounds, and since I play sitting down neck dive is not an issue. Ready to play out of the box after stretching the strings. A set up to my taste will come in the next week. The fit and finish is very good, only one minor "Grain of sand" flaw on the back of the neck, but I do not feel it while playing so no big deal. The neck profile fits my hand nicely, P90 has a nice growl when pushed, and the tone and volume knobs work fine. The nut is cut well, the fret ends are smooth, and overall I am quite impressed at this price point. $136.00 Shipped It will take some getting used to the absence of fretboard markers but could be a good lesson in playing without looking. If not perhaps some fretboard stickers will be applied at some later date. Well worth the wait.

Quality control issues
I'll start by saying I own 3 other IYV guitars..and love them all. Absolutely great guitars for the money to mod and really good as is too. Just as good as any of my squire, epiphone...etc. not so much so with this lp jr style, fit and finish got it two stars, but thats all it had going for it, the pup sounds ok from what little i could play on it..but.. The neck was so bowed it was unplayable lower than the 5th fret. Truss rod did nothing to adjust in either direction. Sent it back. May try another to see if it was a fluke seeing as my other iyv's are great. Im not a fan of set neck guitars as a whole anyway though. May just try something else. Pretty disappointing.

Cool Guitar!
Cool guitar! I swapped the pickup for a Seymour Duncan P90 (although the stock pickup was okay/good, very P90esque). Also replaced the strings, tuners and bridge, as well as the tone and volume nobs. Those replacements were just to pass the time. This is a surprisingly good guitar, FOR THE MONEY, stock out of the box.
