Had to write a review for this because there aren't any. I hadn't heard of this house until a few weeks ago when a good friend sent me some decants of their fragrances to try out. Al Dahr is a great fragrance- it has a citrus, woody, somewhat sweet and very smooth smell. Underneath the freshness and the sweetness of the citrus, musk, rose (I believe) is a smoky, clean smelling oud. This a unique fragrance as it combines citrus and oud. You can tell the rose is there but it is not prevalent, just blends in to give a sort of floral sweetness. I'm not sure if I'm correct on the notes and how they blend here, but to me this is a mass appealing, woody citrus with some oud and smooth leather. It reminds me of Tom Ford Tuscan Leather, but is definitely not a clone. This is an original composition and it smells fantastic. I have gotten compliments on this one- people like it. It's mass appealing, easy to like, but very unique. The only downside to this fragrance is the longevity. It is about 4-6 hours depending on how much you spray. Spray on clothes and it'll last longer. Not huge projection, but people will smell it on you when you put it on. Overspraying does not make it cloying. The citrus, oud, leather, rose, and musk all combine together to make a really interesting scent. This is not a "blue" type scent, but still easily likeable. If you don't like oud, you may still like this. There's just a woody smokiness that comes through and blends really well. It's not overpowering or animalic. 7/10 overall just because of the longevity 10/10 smell- fantastic and unique
