I researched the various machines on the market at this time (April 2025) and decided on the ComMarker B4 50W as being the best value, and bought it from Amazon as being the least commercial risk. It arrived a week early, in perfect condition, and has worked brilliantly. Its taking me a little time to find the best settings as I am also learning Lightburn at the same time - so a steep leaning curve! EzCad was an issue as it said it was a Demo version, even though it was registered to me.... however, I was never going to use it.

This is powerful. Best thing i have ever bought. Easy to use, accurate and well built. Expensive but definately worth it.

Customer service was good leading up to my purchase, and the machine arrived after about two weeks. It’s a lot bigger than I expected. The instructions were okay, but since they were translated to English they weren’t always easy to follow. After some trial and error I managed to download the software and get it working. When it worked, the engraving quality and speed were very good – I got some tags engraved cleanly. However, I found the machine quite difficult to use. Even with the blue light outline it was hard to line items up, especially in a large workspace. Because it’s an open machine with no enclosure, I had to wear the glasses constantly, which was inconvenient. What really held me back was the software (EZCad). I struggled to find clear instructions, especially for tasks like engraving the inside of a ring. The options shown in YouTube tutorials weren’t available in my version, and even when I tried updating, it wasn’t straightforward. In the end, it felt too complicated for me as someone new to laser engraving. I ended up returning the machine and choosing an alternative model that better suited my needs (engraving jewellery and other materials smaller workspace and enclosure ) For someone with more experience, this could be a very capable machine. For beginners, I’d say be prepared for a steep learning curve. Value-wise, the machine is priced well.

Customer support is excellent in this company, I had some minor shipping damage and the rapid, proactive support was excellent. Have purchased a larger lense and z axis piece and that too was perfectly executed.

This is my third laser, the first was a Diode, then the CO2 now this fiber and I have to say this one is the most "fun". The lack of complex moving parts makes it much more approachable to experiment with, with your imagination being the limit of the cool things you can do with it. The rock pictured is just some random yard rock with a cute little cow deep engraved into it with a splash of acrylic paint to highlight the depth. The accuracy/detail this can produce is utterly astounding, you might want to budget for a USB microscope just so you can see the fine details.

Let's start with the drawback, if you use Linux, this engraver requires a load of the FW over USB before it is recognized. Without doing this, LightBurn couldn't see the device and let you set it up. I found someone on the LightBurn forum that wrote a python script that worked with the windows lmcv2u.sys (32-bit version) that allowed this to load. After that, LightBurn could find the device, and it seems to set it up after that. Once that was sorted, I followed the instructions to get the settings right and have been playing with various things since. I have done stainless steel, copper, brass, anodized business cards, slate, and as the pictures show, rocks from my yard. The initial start-up was frustrating, but the laser itself has been fun. On a side note, the staff at the customer support has been helpful and looking to improve, hopefully they will provide the files needed to get this set up easier in the future. But their communication has been a plus in my eyes, and what brought this from a 4 star to a 5 star review. Now onto my thoughts on the engraver. The details it produces are out of this world. This is does such a good job engraving, the rocks in the picture are sitting on paper towels, you can see they aren't that big, yet the detail is stunning. Adjusting the height is really easy, for a introduction to fiber lasers, this is a great unit.

One negative to get out of the way, no fault of Cammarker, was a couple of large holes in the shipping box, which I was about to return without openeing. Anyway, I opened box, and thanks to Cammarker packaging there was no damage. Laser is extremely well made, simple to put together, and very solid. I ran a couple tests without any issues, apart from settings tweaking. Customer support is top notch, and went above and beyond to help me with my purchase. Purchased the 50w B4. Fast delivery, awesome customer support, and a great product at a great price.

The machine itself is pretty quick. It does not engrave right on leather nor steel. I’m very upset with this. I got this one because it was a decent price and I figured I would be able to engrave on a lot of material. So I don’t know if I had to get a higher wattage or what. But the 20w that I got said everything that I liked. I definitely would have returned it if I would have tested it out more in a timely manner. In my opinion, it is not worth getting the 20w laser.
