Image Quality
I bought this MFT lens for travel convenience: light weight; focal length reach; and image quality. In all 3 areas it has not disappointed. I have been comparing it with the generally-accepted superior (but much larger/heavier) Olympus 12 - 100 f4 PRO lens, using my Olympus EM1.2 for both lenses. Not comprehensive studio testing, but comparing every-day subjects on a like-for-like basis. At wide-angle, I found the Leica gave better resolution. At normal range (50mm equiv), the lenses were about equal. At telephoto (120mm equiv), with both lenses stopped-down a bit, the Leica was again slightly better. At 200mm equiv, cropping the Leica image (obviously limited to 120mm equiv) gave very similar results to the Olympus un-cropped.In all, this is a very impressive lens for travelling, or indeed for just general use where a good quality image is called-for. I highly commend it.
