Herm Sprenger ClicLock Fastener Stainless Steel Buckle for Prong Dog Training Collar & Quick Release (Black Jacket, 4.0mm)

This buckle works great for putting the prong collar on/off the dog. I can't imagine having to unlock the links, especially on a large, heavy duty collar. We took the protective cover off to make it easier to use. In cold weather, it was extremely hard to use, and the spring lock is so tight really isn't necessary. Even though somewhat expensive, it makes using the collar so much easier and as we walk our dog several times a day, almost a necessity.

The clasp was a game changer for my puppy’s pinch collar! So much easier to take on and off. It adds some length to the collar, so I had to remove a link, but I can add it later as he grows. The clasp mechanism is easy to depress and glides easily into the fitting.

I bought the 2.25 lock buckle for my prong collar. Which I should have purchased the 3.0. This is very well made. This prong lock makes it easy to put on & off the collar. It’s actually a blessing. I hate taking the prongs apart, or some collars have a tiny lock that you can hardly grip onto

A lot easier to use than pinching the links! It is wider than the original center plate, and I like that there's more room at his throat. It adds a little size to the collar, but that worked out well for us.

This was a much needed addition to our herm sprenger collar. It makes putting the collar on and taking it off easier. I have it 4 stars because the plastic guard that is supposed to sit over the button kept falling off when the collar was unclipped. We ended up just leaving it off. It seems fine, but would have preferred to have the guard in place as intended. Only other thing I didn’t realize is that with the style of collar we have for our dog there is only one place you can put this clip, which is where the two directions of prongs meet. There is no way to change it but I wish the connection could be towards the top of the collar so we’re not trying to clip it together at the underneath of our dogs neck.

Bought this a year ago, its functions perfect, easy to use, does not come apart. happy with this purchase
