CeraVe 590401 Healing Ointment with Hyaluronic Acid and Ceramides for Protecting and Soothing Cracked, 5 oz

Two weeks ago I was really battling with peri oral dermatitis. I had never suffered with any skin complaints in my life (I'm nearly 60). It had happened because I had a bad allergic reaction to Ameliorate facial cream. My skin was inflamed, sore and burning. I was prescribed Rosex and Canesten by the doctor but neither had any effect...it was really getting me down. Then I ordered Cerave healing ointment out of desperation. It is rather like the texture of Vaseline and difficult to get out of tube but whatever other ingredients this balm has in it, it has worked miracles. Immediately I put it on, my face felt less sore and itchy. Two weeks later the POD has almost gone and my skin feels almost back to normal. It may not work for everyone, but I am so thankful that I tried it. I Wish it was sold in UK as very expensive on Amazon. As an added bonus, this is the best lip balm that I have EVER used. I'm ordering another one as I never want to run out!

I bought this specifically for my lips. I've had chapped lips and a skin-picking disorder since I was a child, and at times a stressful job, so my lips are usually tight, sore, cut, patchy, and just unsightly basically. It embarrassed me but I sometimes didn't know I was doing it, and the more chapped they were the more I wanted to mess with them. I have used every type of product going... Vaseline, organic, drug-store, oils, etc. Nothing worked. I found an article where a dermatologist recommended CereVe for chapped lips due to the ceremides and hydrochloric acid. I thought I'd give it a go... even though it's apparently not made for lips. I bought it and popped some in a small container to take everywhere with me, and I use it any time I feel my lips are dry. For 1 whole month I haven't picked my lips, because they feel soft all the time. If they feel dry in the morning, I'll use a lip scrub (Lush) and then apply straight after. My lips are more plump just because they're not sore and cut up. Very grateful to have discovered this product.

Product is very thick and requires a lot of force to get some out of the tube packaging, the tub would probably be a better choice. I was using on my face but the product seals so well it caused blemishes. I would recommend to use it on the body only.

Good product, very easy to apply. Worked for me for overnight use. After reading other reviews, it's easy to squeeze out if you unscrew the whole grey top off.

My husband has athletes foot and he uses this cream to moisturize his rough skin feet and it does amazing job!

I use this to slug overnight. It has great therapeutic value and feels cooling and hydrating. However, I haven't noticed any significant changes in the quality of my skin after a month, and it only reduces dryness slightly.

Nice feel on the skin ONCE you manage to get some cream OUT of the tube! Very hard to squash the tube. Be warned. To be able to use this product I had to cut the bottom off the tube and squash contents into a different container. Couldn't squash all the content out so cut sides of tube and scraped the rest out. Very messy but now have Cerave in a different container and easy to use.

I use this as lip balm and it’s better than any other lip balm I’ve ever use by far. It’s amazing I’ve always had a problem with chapped lips, not anymore. It kept them hydrated even when I had a cold.

This ointment is really a miracle for itchy skin! I been using benzoyl peroxide cleanser and I follow up with my A ret cream after skin care which caused my skin to be extremely dry and itchy at night time, it’s really working amazingly without clogging my pores or breaking out my skin!

Can't do anything without this product it became a main step in my skincare routine. It treated my super dry skin.

Questa camma in tempo. Questo prodotto è favoloso io lo uso per le mie labbra secche ed è così rilassante e in realtà le mie labbra sono molto meno irritato durante il giorno ora. Lo adoro, comprerebbe di nuovo.
