Review: Wonderful Book That Captures My Son’s Interest - The Little Kids First Big Book of Bugs from National Geographic has been a fantastic addition to our collection. My son, who has autism, absolutely loves it. The book’s colorful photos and clear, simple text really capture his attention and curiosity about bugs and nature. What I appreciate most is how educational it is without being overwhelming. The facts are presented in a way that’s easy to understand and engaging for young kids. It encourages questions and learning, which has been great for his development and interests. If you have a child who loves animals or insects, or if you want a well-made, informative book that keeps kids entertained while they learn, this is definitely worth getting. Review: Beautiful photos and fun facts for a child - Superb photos, smooth and glossy pages and lots of fun facts without being overwhelming. My daughter loves this series of books - we often pull this out at bedtime and enjoy a few pages at random at a time. She likes the photos being so detailed and up close! The facts are also very digestible and the perfect difficulty to develop her understanding without being too much.

Great book with amazing pictures!
My 2 yr old loves this book and has been learning so many new words from it! She's obsessed with butterflies and now knows the life cycle which she finds fascinating! We keep going back to this book and hopefully she will be reading it by herself soon! Planning to use it to teach her to read too.

The pictures are beautiful. Full colour print
I wanted to introduce my kids to the world of bugs and insects. I was keen on exposing them to non fiction books. National Geography never fails. The pictures are beautiful. Full colour print. A great way to get my toddlers interested and keep them interested! I got the other books in this collection! Am very pleased with it. Good quality paper and hardcover too. I see this book being used for many years down the road.

Didn't realise it was an American version but still good
It is great, we had the big book of space and my youngest loves bugs too so I got this for his birthday. I love the way the little kids big books explain everything with breaks of little games and questions for them to do throughout but my only issue with this is that it is clearly made for American kids. Ladybirds and woodlice are ladybugs and rollie pollies for example. Other than that the pictures are so detailed and it is still a great book for bug lovers.

This book is excellent. My 7 and 5 year old love reading it. The pictures are great and up close and we love the facts that the book provides. I wish it had the (Pronunciation) next to the words that they were trying to highlight so my son could learn the correct way to say them. But, that doesn’t take away how great the book is. It has mini games (like review questions) which were fun to play and let me know if they were paying attention lol. A nice sized book for the price.

My daughter asked us for an "bug book", so I got online and found this one with great reviews. We purchased the animals and dinosaurs one as well. It's written right at their level and great pictures. Highly recommended for 4 to 6 year olds just getting started with reading.
