Worked perfect
The most difficult thing about this is the OEM key Fob. After I had to destroy the OEM one to get to the guts needed they went in this one perfectly. When reassembling the new Fob don't forget to wind the key on the spring one revolution or the key will not spring out and that is all it takes. Take it to a locksmith and they will cut to your original key and your ready to go.

Key couldn't be programed for My 2015 Spark.
Attempted to have the key cut and programed by a locksmith. The transponder wouldn't take and the key never worked. I had to pay $240 for the locksmith to cut a flip key that could be programed but was the wrong remote. I know have a remote that won't open the doors. I have to keep my broken transponder with it just to start the car. I would have been better off going to the dealership.

Worked great, bargain price.
I just bought a 2014 Spark and wanted more keys. I had three remote units but only one had the folding key itself. New units are no longer available and the key blanks in the swinging shoulder were over a hundred dollars before grinding. I bought these units because just the key blanks were a great deal. I had to destroy the original units to remove the working parts but they went into these new shells easily and work great. It only cost $6.00 each for a locksmith to grind the keys and the units were easy to open and reassemble as they have a screw in back. I now have three complete working units and several spare keys already ground. Highly recommend if your keys are worn or damaged. You just transfer the circuit board to the new unit, very easy. The Amazon listing includes a very helpful video on installing it.

Cannot transfer physical key to new case.
Two choices: either cut the new key that came with the case or modify your existing key. It takes some filing but it is possible to modify. The old case literally has to be removed by chipping away at the plastic. It’s like an excavation! The old electronics are buried deep. There is no just “popping it apart”. Be prepared to destroy the old case. Once everything fits, it works perfectly! Why the makers of the new case didn’t create the metal key just like the old one is beyond me.

not as easy as the video looks. but old guy successful
so this worked as advertised. But, if you leave the battery out of your old fob 2 long you'll have to reprogram it. but instructions are on line for that. taking your old fob apart is difficult. I used a die grinder to take my 2nd one apart. brute force for my first one. advice is to gently cut it along the glued seam and try it gently open as to not damage the circuit board inside. I am a Aviation mechanic with alot of mechanical tools and experience. I removed the roll pin from the uncut key and my original key and simply swapped them rather than have the new key cut. you will have to grind/file the old key slightly to fit in the new rotating knuckle and reinsert the roll pin. if you don't have that capability then just take it to lowes and have them cut the new blank included. setting the tension and reassembling the new key fob is a breeze for a 2yr old. I however needed a few attempts, but the final result was cheaper than buying assembled fob and paying to have it programmed. but those programming instructions are online and in the owners manual. However I'm old school and rely on pictures, so you my need your kids to stop by and reprogram the fob if need be. 1 of my fobs was without a battery overnight and required reprogramming. fortunately my wife is SMRT. the 2nd fob was taken apart and reassembled in under an hour and worked fine 🙂

The key no longer closes.
Swapped the electronics and key from my old fob into this one, but now the key does not stay closed. It now rests 30% open.

Great
Worked amazing for my wife’s 2014 Chevy spark that we were getting ready to sell and was able to get 1 shell and a full replacement key for this car and super easy to set up by just putting the old key in the ignition starting taking it out and putting in the new key to program 10/10
