Received this product today as a gift for my 10yr old niece. I am impressed with the quality and size of the stones. I bought a stone only a bit bigger at the Xmas markets and paid £4.50. This is really good value whether a gift or for yourself. They come in two little pull string bags and you get a little booklet explaining them (and more). Would recommend the seller too as it arrived with no issues.

This is a great little kit with some beautiful and interesting pieces. My daughter especially liked playing with the lodestone and iron filings! Was delivered the next day and well packaged. The included book gives just enough detail on each piece without being too overwhelming for a 9 year old, and we really enjoyed using it to identify them. She now cant wait to go back to school and 'show and tell' her new collection!

I was surprised by the size of the product, I expected something larger. However, the book was well written and very understandable. The rocks and minerals were small but good samples.

My kids will love this...their own starter rock collection...I'm a bit jealous to be honest! Can't wait to give it to them

Disappointed, not well presented, some items broken as not well wrapped or packaged.

There is nothing to in the packaging of the stones to advertise what’s in the box, it’s just a plain whitish small box. The stones themselves are small and just placed inside little bags, three, one of which is a little polythene bag. Rather unimpressed. I bought this as a gift for my grandson but I can’t give it now because it has no wow factor. Caveat Emptor.

I purchased this book with the rocks and minerals for my 13 year old granddaughter for Christmas . Package arrived well packed and well in advance of estimated delivery date. However I was disappointed with the size of the book .Entirely my fault , I should have read the details more closely.

It arrived on time....pieces were smaller than expected and didn't have much 'presentation'....but a quick stop at a Dollar Store and some cut up 'soft cloth' and, presto, we had the beginnings of a rock collection! Our 6 year old granddaughter was thrilled with it all and has memorized lots of information about rocks...Grandpa went up 6 notches on the hierarchy! :-). .Next step is some more excuses for 'field work' and purchasing the National Geographic Geode Kit for her birthday. Boo Yah!

We ordered this collection as part of a Valentine's card gift idea for my 5 year- he chose a special gem stone for each friend in his class and we slipped it into a little velvet bag with the name of the stone. The identification booklet made this fun & easy to do- the images were great and allowed my son to match the gem with the name. While he signed the "mine cart" valentine, I read to him the description of the stone and the little fun facts. The quality of the stones, the packaging and the booklet make this collection a perfect gift for one or to share with others! I found myself already thinking of HOW I could buy another one!! Thank you for sharing your love and helping instill an interest in the future geologist!

La confezione è costituita da una triste scatolina di cartone al cui interno vi sono due sacchettini, una con dei piccoli minerali, l'altra con piccole pietre lucidate (occhio di tigre, quarzo rosa, etc.). Il tutto estremamente minimale, corredato da un opuscolo con descrizione dei minerali tutto rigorosamente in inglese. Sconsigliato, prezzo assolutamente eccessivo.
