Warm, Well-Made, Comfy & True to Size :)
VERY happy with these! Needed something warm yet comfortable for daily winter hikes with my pooch and for winter chores - shoveling, snowblowing.. We live in upstate NY, Catskill mountains, and winters can be super cold and damp. Regular ski pants are too bulky and stiff IMHO. These are well made, sturdy fabric yet flexible and move with you in all the right places. They run true to size chart: I'm usually a small/petite length and got a Medium Short so I could layer - I have room for heavy leggings or cotton skinny jeans. A small would have probably been fine, I may order another in small for spring/fall. For reference, I'm 5'3, 135lbs, curvy/athletic build. I did not think them high-waisted or short-waisted, pretty much "normal", and the length is perfect and as per the size guide. It's not easy to find pants that aren't made for 6' + women and the length was perfect to tuck in my snow boots or cuff with my hikers without being bulky or having to hem. As other reviewers mentioned, it comes with a belt (which is awful - I couldn't even unbuckle it) and unnecessary, (they should bypass the belt and lower the price!) in fact, the belt was a stark contrast to the quality of the pants. Just buy the pants and toss the belt. The waistband is flexible and I really like the clip closure, easy to maneuver even with gloves on. And the detailing below the waist is flattering - they are stylish enough for a run to town without looking like the kid from A Christmas Story :) It's been very rainy, wet and snowy this winter and they certainly kept the damp chill out, and did not feel damp or wet after a long hike or shoveling. And I love the fabric stays super clean and doesn't pick up lint or pet hair! Kept me warm and comfortable! A solid purchase.

Best Cold Weather Hiking Pants!
I purchased these pants for a February trip to Patagonia, where it can be cold, wet, and windy. I ended up wearing these every day for the week we were traveling through Argentinian and Chilean glacier fjords by boat and foot. Most days the temps were in the low 40’s (F) with wind gusts up to 35 mph. These pants are truly wind proof and water resistant, while also being sturdy, well-fitting and comfortable. I highly recommend them as an alternative to bulky ski pants, which are not designed for hiking. For reference, I’m 5’9” and 148 lbs and the Medium/Regular fit me perfectly.

Sizing *slightly* off, but good pants!
I bought these for an upcoming trip to Iceland. Lots of people in these reviews used them for the same purpose so I’m hoping they serve me just as well! The quality of these pants is really good, the material feels heavy duty without being bulky. The fleece lining is pretty thin, which I like because I don’t want to get overly warm (will be hiking/walking/horseback riding/etc), but if you’re looking for something with a very thick/fluffy lining these are not it. Iffy on whether these will actually be waterproof, but they are definitely better than water resistant options and aren’t as bulky as ski pants. The only thing I don’t love is the sizing. I ordered a medium short (my normal size) and they fit perfectly everywhere except for the back seam; it pulls a bit when squatting down or sitting. Otherwise the length, waist, legs all fit so well. I ordered a large short to try and that was huge yet still had that pull in the back seam. Sticking with the mediums because I think they are still very comfortable and will work for what I need them for. I would stick with your normal sizing (I am a 5’5” 140lb curvy woman, so I think that’s why the hip measurement was a bit snug for me).

Great active outdoor winter pant
For reference - I'm 5'6, 170lb athletic build F (with a bit of middle age fluff) and purchased size Large, Black pants. I purchased these in the fall, and its finally cold and blustery here in the midwest US. Wore them this morning to play with my pup in 12 degree windchill, with snow and wind coming down. They performed splendidly! I wore a high quality base layer underneath these Benboy pants, and they fit well with room to move. They are comfortable, lightweight, flexible, and very functional. The waistband has elastic gathering in strategic places that allows for give, but also remains flattering since it's not a full elastic waist. The pockets have ample room and you can carry several things if needed. I really REALLY love the textured/rugged knee area - its not so stiff to be bulky, but its rugged enough to deal with a jumping dog and ice and crud on the ground. The bottom of the pants have ample room for boots to be worn underneath, but because the pants are lightweight and flexible, you could tuck them into boots as well. They performed amazingly against the cold, windy, blustery 12F temps for 2 hours of pup time. They were completely windproof, stayed dry, staved off several puppy attacks :) and with a slight brushing off, they looked like they just came out of the package. I cannot say enough for these pants for light to moderate outdoor winter activity. I am very pleased with them and will be ordering additional pairs. The pricepoint of these pants is out of this world. I'd expect to spend 4x as much for this quality! ***Came back to edit this review after wearing these pants non-stop through winter storm Elliot (December 2022). I had to take my 6 month old puppy out in -40f with 30-50 mph winds, several times a day and night. With a high quality base layer and the baleaf fleece lined tights (also sold on anazon) under these, they were rock solid. Completely wind and cold proof. If you think your should buy a pair of these, the answer is a resounding YES!! I have 2 pr and will but a few more in other colors. At this price point, there is nothing that comes close! Thanks again for such a great product!!!

Great pair of snow pants for winter!
Awesome pants for the cold weather. I purchased these for a trip to Alaska where we would be spending some time outdoors in 1 hour increments often. Overall the weather was anywhere between 30 degrees to -10 below and I mostly only had a regular pair of leggings or lined leggings underneath these pants and sometimes a pair of jeans and my legs were the last thing I paid attention to being cold. These would be great with a little warmer base layer to last quite some time outdoors. They didn't feel too bulky at all, great fit overall. I am 5'0 and 118 lbs and the Small Short fit perfectly. I wore these with mid-calf snow boots and had no issues whatsoever. Buy these, you will be happy you did.

Fashion and function can coexist!
I oringinally ordered a large thinking I should size up based on what I have found with other athletic / outdoor brands like Columbia and because I plan to wear an additional layer underneath for winter but the large was way too big. The fastener on the waist band came off the first time I tried them on so I returned the first pair for a refund. Customer service was FANTASTIC! Actually made the experience an enjoyable one. The pants were exactly what I was looking for. They appear to be well made (except for the fastener), the material appears durable. I love the tougher material at the knees, I am a nature photographer and I'm frequently kneeling in all kinds of weather. The pants are cute. I don't care what we're doing, a girl still wants to look cute! Who says function and fashion can't coexist? They can with these! I reordered a medium and they fit with plenty of room for an additional layer underneath. The fit isn't perfect for me but I'm guessing they would be perfect for someone with a longer torso than me. I'm 5'3 with longer legs and short waisted. If you are wanting a warm pant for your outdoor activities with a more fitted look I would recommend these! I ordered the black with the pocket on the thigh, I suspect the different styles may fit differently. Good luck! I look forward to seeing how these perform next week when I head to the trails to capture nature at it's finest. Update December 1, 2021: I love these pants! They are my winter favorite! I want another pair so I can always have one when the other is in the laundry. They have worn fantastic! I have worn them in sub-zero Temps with a layer underneath and stayed perfectly warm. I have worn them in snow and stayed dry, even when kneeling in the snow. These have proven to be durable, comfortable and warm!

Not slim fit
So not a fan of these. Bought the large/short. I am 5’3” 162lbs. Normally wear a size 12. These were a little big around the waist so I put the belt on which came with them. The belt was a woven belt that sticks up past the waist band and rubs against my skin. The legs were not slim fit so when I had them on the fabric was moving against my skin and felt irritating on my bare skin. The picture shows a slim fit but the pant legs on the bottom were 8 1/2” wide. They would probably fit over snow boots but I wanted to be able to tuck them in my boots. They are not tight and I could probably wear long John’s under them to alleviate the chafing that is bound to happen with the way they move over my skin when walking. They were warm though so I will keep them as an emergency pair of pants for when I have to be outside in winter for an extended period of time. Not sure about waterproof protection, so can’t comment on that.

Sturdy, Comfy, Cozy
These pants are so comfy I could sleep in them. Very cozy and warm. Shoveled my entire driveway and my legs weren't even a little cold. True to size. Fits perfectly and did I mention how comfy and warm they are? Very. But are they really waterproof? Yes. Yes they are. The reinforced fabric on the knees is nice. And I get tons of compliments on them. Also, they are SO warm.

Fit perfect, water ROLLS OFF THEM, Reinforced, warm!
Ok so someone who is 135 pounds said the medium doesn’t fit. I am the same weight maybe even 5-10 pounds more sometimes, but I’m also 5’8… I’m a size 6-8, (canada, or USA in normal size not those brands that pretend that a size 12 is a 6) depending on the month - it fits perfect for me but if you carry all your weight on your waist it won’t, I’m a true hourglass in shape, so maybe that’s why. It’s almost tight on my butt but enough room for fleece jean/legging AND compression thermal wear First thing I did: poured water on it. To see if it got wet. It didn’t! It rolled onto the floor! That’s exactly what I wanted There are elastic panels on the waist band part, mine are barely stretching when I put it on, it fit, yet if you have a big butt I’d say that’s the tightest part. These are better than 100$ Columbia snow pants lol, but they’re not as bulky - you may sacrifice a tiny bit of warmth for looking a little cute idk but I’ve never been cold with them And it’s negative 30 degrees Celsius in canada and it’s blizzarding (total white out/3 feet visibility). Maybe I’d get something thicker for the Arctic but for my daily hour walks it’s perfect

Vraiment bon pantalon

warm and durable for outdoor camping in the mountains
I ordered small, but these pants were loose and not too snug so great to actively move about in. I wore thin pj's underneath for additional warmth. It kept me comfortable and warm while hiking in BC. Lots of pockets to stash items. The only issue is the belt buckle snap was hard to open. But the belt came in handy to carry my MEC water bag in liu of a day backpack. I will order this product again in a different colour.

These are well made and designed
Love the design, build and materials. The sizing chart runs a bit big. The Short are pretty long in the inseam. For example the Medium Short are 30 inch inseam and should probably be more like 27 inches. IMHO. No issues, I'll just get a seamstress to hem. The knee patch area is properly positioned even after a hemming of 2 inches.
