Store cupboard favourite
A fantastic ingrediant to have in the Store Cuboard. Initially bought it to make Ramen but my use has expandes well beyond that. It gives a rich savoury note to sauces and stews that isn't fishy but rather provides a delicuous Unami note which warms your pallette. Has become a staple ingrediant in my Kitchen

Good value bonito flakes
Medium size flakes and probably good for making Japanese stock, but if you’re making Alistair Little’s dancing bonitos recipe from the’90’s a bit big

Good value way to elevate cooking
Ordered this many times and very pleased with the quality and quantity of this product. The flakes are very compressed inside the bag, meaning you get a lot of product for a very reasonable price! I mainly use this for Japanese style seasoned rice dishes and savoury noodles. You can boil in soup to make a delicious stock but I prefer to sprinkle them on top of dishes for extra flavour. Prefer for homemade Takoyaki.
