Excellent guidebook for Cambodia. This is a completely revised September 2025 edition.

This is a very comprehensive guide for our forthcoming trip to Cambodia.

I think the other reviews speak for themselves. The new format is superficial nonsense. Jam packed full of pictures but little in the way of useful or interesting information. Shan't be buying any more unless they revert to being an actual travel guide.

I waited for the new edition before buying. Not as useful as others when trip planning. Now we're here... the guide still does not know that Siem Reap has a new airport much further away.... the map is terrible, places on map are not mentioned in guide and the ordering is not great. And we havent been anywhere else yet! Possibly the last LP book I buy.

The new edition and format is such a misstep and a real shame. Gone is the excitement of planning travel, go for the rough guide.

As a loyal customer I have been using LP guidebooks for over 20 years. I am shocked to see how they totally destroyed almost everything with the new edition. Now this book has nothing to do with a solid guidebook. What remains is a superficial description of main sites with scarce information of any practical use.

学生時代、日本語によるアフリカのガイドブックがない時代、travel survival kit シリーズの時代から、開発途上国の旅に欠かせない、ずっとお世話になり信頼してきたガイドブックであった。今回の大幅なレイアウト変更により、トピックスをあちこちに散りばめられてとても読みづらくなり、実用的情報がスカスカとなり、全く使えない代物となった。今後、もとのレイアウトに戻らない限り、Lonely Planetを買う意味はない。残念過ぎる。長年大事にしたものを壊された気持ちである。

Ich kann die negativen Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. Der „neue“ Lonely Planet ist zeitgemäß! Die Art und Weise des Reisens ändert sich und auch die Beschaffung von Informationen. Lonely Planet hat mit dieser Ausgabe diese Dynamik berücksichtigt und richtet sich somit auch an eine jüngere Generation Reisender. Ich war zum 6. mal in Kambodscha, kenne das Land also mittlerweile recht gut. Trotzdem war dieser Reiseführer die perfekte Begleitung. Bitte weiter so Lonely Planet!

Great information , Lonely Planet is always a book to own before and during your travel.

Ho sempre comprato le guide lonely Planet per organizzare i miei viaggi da quasi 20 anni. Queste nuove versioni del 2023 devo dire che sono fatte molto male, confusionarie e male organizzate. I posti indicati come ristoranti e hotel sono sparsi a giro per le pagine, con a malapena il nome spesso inesatto e niente più. È quasi impossibile pertanto trovare alcuni posti indicati non essendoci un indirizzo o capire se abbiamo trovato il posto giusto. Tante foto inutili e basta
