I recently purchased a room air conditioner and realized (a bit too late) that it didn’t come with a drain hose. I found this LitKiwi Improved Window Air Conditioner Drain Kit and gave it a try.While the elbow fitting didn’t fit my specific AC unit’s drain, I was still impressed with the quality of the kit. It’s well made, and I really appreciated that it came with everything you’d need, hose, fitting, clamp, the works. Even though I couldn’t use all the pieces, the hose itself worked perfectly and helped me set up a drainage solution quickly.If you’re not sure about the fit, double-check your model’s specs, but even if it’s not a perfect match, there’s a good chance you’ll still find the parts useful. Loved it because it comes with two thickness washers so you can increase gasket pressure if needed. How thoughtful!You select a washer, pop it on the elbow, insert into your AC pan, and give a twist to lock it.The way it’s designed the elbow allows water to enter without obstruction or without raising the water level in the pan, which would be a catastrophe.I normally allow the water to drip onto my bulkhead directly from the AC, but had a project in the basement that needed ventilation and my wife needed the AC going in the kitchen during this heat wave. This kit solved my problem and is 100% leak free!There is plenty of tubing, which fits easily by hand over the elbow and the enclosed clamp even comes with a finger operated screw. There are literally no tools needed.How does it get better than all that? Love it!!

Just make sure it fits your AC first. I got this drainage holes for my Danby AC I got from Costco. Unfortunately the plastic elbow that goes into the bottom of the AC is just a bit too small so I had to wedge it with a piece of wood pushed up tightly between the AC and the window ledge. Worker’s perfectly after a little tinkering. Also, there’s other reviews here that complain about the hose as far as that goes there is an updated hose, so just spend the extra dollar or two for that and you’re good to go

If in doubt, buy the longer hose. I wish I had.
