Beautiful design and passes most tests
I chose this because, after checking well over a hundred teapots on Amazon, it has the most beautiful design. The real teapot does not disappoint - it looks just as good as in the picture. It is cast iron but not inconveniently heavy.Teapots often suffer from design flaws. This ones stacks up well. Here is a list of the points:Does it pour without spilling?YES, it pours perfectly. It is nicely balanced so it doesn't spill out of the top while pouring. Can you replace the lid after removing the infuser?YES (many teapots don't allow this - a ridiculous design flaw)Is the tea untainted?YES SO FAR. I could not detect any metallic taste. However, looking inside I can see specks of iron showing through the enamel so I don't give this a perfect score.Does the infuser work well?YES, it lets the water through quickly enough (unlike Boden infusers) but is fine enough to capture even small bits of tea leaves. Is the infuser easy to clean?YES, it has a rounded shape which is much easier to clean than the straight cylindrical ones.Is it large enough?JUST ABOUT. I would have preferred a larger size. 600ml is enough for three cups or two large mugsIs the lid cool to lift?NO, it gets hotDoes the infuser have a handle?NO, but the lip is wide. I removed it from a full pot without burning my fingersCan you put it in the dishwasher?NODid it arrive in good time?YES I selected slow delivery and it arrived in two days

Quality, style, longevity - a great tea pot..
Quality pot. An investment as it will last a life time. Holds more than expected. Stays hot for longer than my former glass pot.

Beautiful little Japanese teapot with good size basket for fresh ginger, mint etc. Heavy and authentic feeling. Prompt delivery. Recommended!

Great teapot
Excellent product. I am not sure the little strainer inside is as sturdy as it could be but perfect so far.

Not durable
Nice, but unfortunately paint and enamel starting chipping off about several months of very occasional use (once or twice a week), showing signs of rust. We took care to dry as much as possible after each use and did not use it to heat the water (which would certainly lead to cracking), just to steap already boiled water.

Fabulous!
Got this as a Christmas present for a tea-loving sibling - it pours beautiful and is much appreciated!
