Excellent tool to have if you still use paper maps.
Superb tool! It's been twenty plus years since I had to do any land navigation, and back then the tools were a little more primative than this.Product is well thought out and designed, and there are several different versions from this manufacturer. It came with paper instructions (which also have some tests, so that you can practice.) If you have a decent compass - I personally use a Suunto MC-2.Inexpensive as far as cost, so I will definitely buy a spare - but not because of quality concerns, as sometimes things just get lost.
