Fantastic Fun
My son had spoted this garage at easter while spending his easter money, and begged me for it. As we had already bought him his easter gift we thought we would get it for Christmas for him. But all my little one would ask for was the garage for his Birthday. After reading the reviews on Amazon I was really worried about spending so much money on a toy that could fall apart after minutes of play. But as my son had set his heart on it I ordered it. When it arrives I was impresed by the quality the trim around the top of the garage is now rubber, and fitted well to the wood. Not the plastic one that did come on the garage. And the handle for the lift is solid wood, not plastic like before. I think that Le Toy Van have listened to customers and have made improvements to the range. However my son's Grandparents bought him the Airport and sadly the quality is very poor. And has requred alot of mending, I think the airport must have been an older model as it was bought from a shop. I would advise buying a bottle of wood glue if you are buying any toy from the Le Toy Van range. However my son loves his garage and airport and any hassel we have had fixing the airport, is far outweighed by my son's enjoyment of the toy. It is refreshing in this day and age to have toy's like this which stretch childrens imagination.

Good fun for a 4 year old
Great toy for a 4 year old. Takes half an hour to put together if you follow the instructions but worth it. The lift has been played with from the beginning and remains the best feature.

Flimsy, overpriced waste of money :(
I bought this for my then 3 year old son. I had seen previous reviews that mentioned a child breaking this by standing on it ,but thought my boy can't do that(he has special needs) and he is very careful with his toys. as it looked stunning and also pleased my older 6year old son (he said it was the same as the one in the music video for my chemical romance song NaNananana) i allowed myself to be swayed by the appearance of this toy and bought it. Two weeks later it arrived, beautifully wrapped (each tiny individual piece was wrapped in tissue paper which was annoying to un tangle and meant a mass of packaging for the recycling bin) even though hubby and I are toy bulding vetrans this thing was a total nightmare to assemble , the screws were too thin snapped easily and the instructions were useless- it was easier just to use the picture on the box. the first day my son had this he was putting the wooden cars down the ramps and leaned slightly on it - the thin wood splintered and the screws snapped - my husband took it to the kitchen table to investigate re building it , and the main wooden tower snapped off as hewas using a screwdriver to tighten the platform base- we binned it - whatever u do do not buy this - it looks lovely but the materials used are complete rubbish , no quality in this at broke far too easily and was rather expensive to begin with for what is smaller than the early learning centre version. will never buy this companys products again.

Amazing quality
Solid garage. Easy to erect and really bright. Our 3 year old grandson loves it. Really great quality and would highly recommend. Quite pricey but worth every penny. It looks impressive and so sturdy. This is the ideal size for a 3 year old. Love the lift and different floors. Our grandson has managed to park all his cars.

Four Stars
Good toy, perhaps a little expensive for what you get.

Very disappointing, should have read previous reviews
Looks very good when assembled but did take about an hour's careful work. However after 3 weeks a number of problems have arisen 1 Yellow plastic edge loose on 2nd floor because timber edge is broken where screw holes are bored 2 Petrol price sign cracked where plastic peg inserted 3 Car lift doesn't work properly 4 2nd floor exit sign is cracked and fixing point on floor broken The material used appears to be mdf and fixing screws into the edge of this is always going to lead to problems. Similarly the plastic pegs on the petrol and exit signs have been inserted into holes which left little surrounding material to support them Potentially this is a really good "play with" toy which has been let down by poor choice of material and some of the fixing methods. Having read other reviews which go back a number of years it is really disappointing that a manufacturer doesn't take note and make the necessary changes in the design and choice of material

Great toy
Granddaughter loves it. The signs just push into the MDF base and have quickly worn the hole larger so now wobble about but apart from that no issues

Lovely but not robust
This garage is a thing of beauty, I was very happy with it after building. My boys both loved it and played with it every day. Unfortunately it is very easy to break...the first time the plastic edging was pulled off the top floor of the garage (it's stapled into place). We had owned it for approx 2 weeks when this happened. Surely a garage made so meticulously could have a wooden edging incorporated into the design? However as I and my children did like it so much I packed it up and returned it for a replacement. I was really upset when within hours of it being played with it had broken again, this time the black and white barriers on the top floor had been pulled out (they just slot into holes) and damaged the top floor itself, meaning it could not be re-inserted properly. Obviously my children caused the garage to become damaged - but really a toy like this needs to be strong enough to withstand the attentions of 2 young boys, after all surely they are the owners it's been designed for? So if you do buy this, I would say wait until your children are older (i.e. at least 4 or 5). But I still think it's lovely!

I bought this for my two year old son after researching several auto garages/parkade. This one had it all, very chic retro looks, 3 levels, an easy to use elevator, a gas tank and a neat racetrack around the perimeter. My son loved it on first sight and it was a huge hit with his friends. Unfortunately, although the quality at first seemed fairly sturdy, it quickly developed several issues, the screws on the base of the car ramp lifted up and fell off. After a couple of weeks of normal play my son leant against the side and the whole thing buckled and broke. I realized one side of the top was only held together by one tiny screw. From there it continued to get worse, many of the screws were getting loose, due to screws being quite tiny and the building material being a cheap particle board. The paint also flakes and scratches quite easily. My son also received some Le Van cars, earlier that have severe paint issues after only a few months compared to his Melissa and Doug cars which still look brand new. The bottom line, The car garage is quite beautiful and I was able to enlist the help of my carpenter father to help reinforce and reconstruct the structure which has made it useable again. However, if you are not willing to do this, I would definitely not recommend this car garage to a toddler or any child that wouldn't be able to treat the garage with care. Compared to other garages such as Melissa and Doug which uses plywood, finger joints and glue for a lot of stability this one is not built to last. I have rated it 4 stars for the overall design, aesthetic and fun factor. I hope they can look into their building quality in the future.

This was the 3rd birthday gift and was received with a loud squeal of happiness. All I can say is hours and hours of creative playtime and it has held up to some pretty tough play. I have found him standing on it to reach light switch and reaching for stuff in his closet. Our little one is a big boy and it has withstood a lot and still looks almost as good as the day we gave it to him. Almost, is due to the coloring job he did on the upper parking area. If your boy loves cars and trucks then this is a great gift. It is also well made and a good looking piece, nice wood and pretty painted colors. Nothing cheap and plastic about this toy garage. Love it!!!
