Great, sturdy item

I had a draft coming through my back door through his majesty the dogs entrance flap. I decided I needed a curtain in front of the door to minimise the drafts. My issue is that my backdoor is fitted in an alcove and is only slightly smaller than the alcove. If I put a fixed curtain rail there it would have prevented the door opening. So wanted a portiere rod which would swing out of the way.Bought this one. For my fitting I bought one wider than my alcove width and then cut the end off with a hack saw and added a rubber end cap so it fitted my alcove. That is why in the pics mine has a different finial end. Most people wont need to do this . Rod dia was 1 in. Got a curtain from the charity shop for 2 pound.Works really well. My wife was very happy. Dog not so much. He figured it out how to get through it, but his royal highness does not bother to pull it closed afterwards.

Perfect fit for my door, smooth swing and easily sits against the wall when not in use. Brass colour goes well with mustard wallpaper. Definitely recommend this product. It well made and easy to fit. Very happy with my purchase

Product is of average to good quality, quite heavy. Length is 35 inches in total including ball at end. The ball screws in at the end of the pole so the length cannot really be cut unless you are prepared to find a different way of securing the ball. I think the 35 inch length falls a few inches too short to be effective to hang a curtain to keep draughts out for the normal UK doorway but YMMV. As other reviews have mentioned, returns are at you own expense (to China) so make sure you really want it as return postage would most probably cost more than the item itself.

This product was easy to fit on the wall by the front door. Very easy to hang the heavy curtain on the pole. Rescrew the end knob to hold the curtain in place. Then catch the end of the pole on a hook, so the draught excluding curtain opens and closes with the front door. Perfect

Do not buy this product, its cheap and not fit for purpose, its also not heavy duty, arrived with parts missing, and no response at all from the company who sold it
