Amazing for the price...
This comes in 3 parts; 1. Ear defenders 2. Head band 3. Face shield All three components clip together to make an extremely versatile and secure fit to the head. The screen is a reasonable distance from the face with minimal fogging on the bottom of the screen during use which clears quickly (the wife suggests not breathing, tried this but fell over). The screen easily fits over my prescription glasses as well. The face shield looks like it can be replaced with a mesh screen or new polycarbonate one if they are available separately. The ear defenders are marvellous considering the whole lot costs under £14. My eyes and ears are worth loads more than that! Just one note. The visor has protective film on BOTH sides, so piggle it off for best visibility. Yes, there really is film on that other side too! You have to look really carefully. And it arrived quickly, ordered Monday PM, arrived Wednesday. Update : These have now been saving my ears and eyes for 2 years and are still going strong. The faceplate is a little scuffed but still servicable. I should really get a replacement I guess... but if it ain't broke... UPDATE Nov 2017: Still going with the same face plate (I did polish it up with Brasso, but I really should replace it!

Brilliant.
These are really good , makes a massive difference when strimming , no more stones in the face. Easily adjustable from behind, lightweight , comfortable and most importantly for me, they can be used whilst wearing glasses. The ear protection is the best, I will never mow my lawn without them now. You don’t realise how loud garden equipment is until you wear these. You can still hear things while using them , but it takes that terrible engine noise away and it’s really quite nice being quiet in your own world. Recommended.

Good value and effective.
I use this with some of my woodworking tools preferring to use a chainsaw helmet with a clear visor when strimming. That's mainly because of the glare that you can get off the mesh, the fact that mesh doesn't stop everything that a strimmer can throw at you and my head needs protecting from the sun, rain and overhanging branches. Back to the woodworking. This is easy to put on, take off and flip the visor up to check something. It can be worn with glasses but it's not easy if they are reading glasses which you need to put on and take off regularly as the ear pieces don't slide between your head and the ear defenders very well - such is life. It can also be worn with dust protection without misting up as frequently as goggles might in the same situation. At this price I will be buying a couple more and hanging them next to my stationary tools.

Oregon visor/face shield and ear defenders
A great bit of kit. Main reason I got this was for brushcutting in long grass, which can be a minefield of doggy poo and brushcutting in areas with gravel chips where it's easy to lose an eye or two with the deadly shrapnel that gets thrown up. The (clear) face shield protects me fine, and I also got a replacement mesh visor to try that, but prefer the clear one in terms of visibility. But those ear defenders are an unexpected bonus in terms of performance..... let me explain..... I have a Honda 35cc brushcutter and brushcutting for several hours on familiar terrain can become tedious in the extreme. I tried to alleviate the boredom by getting an mp3/radio player and in-ear headphones, but the drone of the brushcutters engine was just too loud to make that a feasible proposition. However, with these Oregon ear defenders on top of the in-ear headphones, the engine noise is reduced to a purr and I can now turn on, tune in and drop out to my hearts content as I slice my way through the long grass. Oh, and they're comfortable to wear and easy to adjust. Absolutely brilliant !

Worth 6 out of 5 Stars
Absolutely fantastic! I wish I had this a few months earlier, I may have saved me from injury. Well there use crying over spilled milk as they say! I used this for the first time a couple of weeks ago whilst using my chainsaw, it definitely protected both my face from flying debris and my ears from the noise of the chainsaw. I couldn't turn it down as the price was remarkable and the concept brilliant. I had read the reviews prior to purchasing it and had a little chuckle when some people said they couldn't see through the protective screen due to the blue tint :-) or it was blurry. There are in fact 2 layers of protective film on the screen, 1 on each side, that needs to be removed prior to installation. Assembly was very straight forward and to be honest, even if there weren't instructions common sense would take over. I enjoy using this item and feel much better protected. I definitely recommend this product as a 'Safety First' item and to be worn whenever you are using mechanical devices that can throw anything at you or if your working in a noisy environment Oh yes I forgot to say, the other brilliant thing about this is you can separate the face shield from the ear mufflers and use them independently of each other. Worth 6/5 stars

decent kit but not enough depth in ear muffs
Well designed unit which feels secure on the head and does what it's meant to except I found that the EARMUFFS ARE WAY TOO SHALLOW (pretty sure my ears aren't unusually big) Also, some similar products by other brands allow the ear muffs to be popped up and off the ear and then easily back on again - a feature that's really handy and these don't have.

really good value
used for strimming, where there's the risk of flying debris or stones, so face protection is a must. Ear defenders are adequate, I would say. If using really loud machinery maybe something with higher sound absorption would be required, but for my purposes, these were just fine. Really great price too

Great for garden strimmer but would it stop a broken angle grinder blade?
Comfortable and easy to use for gardening and workshop tools. Adjustable turn button easy to operate and provides snug fit on head. Not sure what they are rated to deflect with plastic shield. I owned another unbranded head visor that was same colour and same face shield without earmuffs. This item was bought to replace that one as plastic visor became so cloudy you couldn't see out of but helmet part fine. I assume this is what's going to happen to this helmet and hope replacement visors are availible.
