July 13, 2016: I am changing my rating from 3-star to 5-star after using them for over 1.5 year. They are very sturdy, despite the thinness of the glass. For that reason, they are worth the price. I bought a set similar to these from Costco (usually Costco will not sell anything that is low quality), and another slight different set from the same manufacturer from the Amazon Warehouse Deals. I am very impressed with the quality of all those glasses when compared with the ones I have purchased in the past (that break and stain in dishwasher easily). However, I am not sure about these glasses. The reason is that the other glasses from the same manufacturer stated explicitly that the "ingredients of son.hyx allow the glasses to be more brilliant in color and sound, increase their durability and strength." They also stated that they come with a 25 year warranty. These particular set of glasses did not state that. They may be same as others or may be of older or inferior quality because the web site did not mention that. If I had read that carefully, I would not have bought these glasses. My mistake, but the issue remains. POSITIVES: 1. They are made of *very* clear glass. 2. They look very nice. 3. Made in Italy. NEGATIVES: 1. A bit on the pricey side. 2. It is *quite* thin at the rim.

The heavy, clear bottom makes these extremely stable. The shape of the glass makes them easy to hold, even for people like my wife with small hands. The glass is extremely clear and bright. This is the second set I have purchased because Luigi Bormioli crystal is extremely high quality and fairly priced.

Heavy and sturdy, great for mixed drinks or any type of beverage. Some of my most favorite glasses ever! Glass is not thin and cheap. All glass has the opportunity to chip and break, but these are a little sturdier and feel good while holding it

I love these glasses so much that I bought four sets of these glasses and 4 sets the 20 ounce version. I love the higher capacity and extra ounces of liquid that these glasses hold, they are very heavy at the bottom and although they are thin they are very strong. After about eight months of daily use I have only broke 2 glasses and when I broke those glasses I struck one very hard on accident with a $ 60 bottle of Grey Goose in other words a very large heavy bottle. The other 15 ounce glass was broken when I dropped a large heavy pot on it while the glass was sitting in the sink. I have had many compliments on these glasses. Everyone seems to love them and asked me where I got them. They are very simple but well-made and beautiful looking.

simple, elegant, very nice cocktail glasses that can hold a LARGE drink, I like that!! often times cocktail glasses have too thick a lip on them, I don't like that :( this glass has a nice thin lip but it doesn't seem like the type of glass that will break in the dishwasher I've only had them a month, but we use them for water, juice, milk occasionally... only time will tell I enjoy using ice molds and this glass accepts all of my ice molds, big and round or square they all fit the only reason I give it 4 stars is because the glass doesn't look fancier or more stylish, sometimes function/reliability overrides form

I like an double old fashion with soda with those monster round ice cubes. This glass is big enough for both. It’s also clear and elegant and the price is right. BTW: large ice cube first, then 3 squirts of Angostura bitters, 2/12 oz good bourbon (like Makers), 1/2 oz Grand Marnier, SQUEEZE an orange wedge (about 1/12 of small orange) into glass and put the squeezed wedge in glass with a Bada Bing cherry plus 1tsp cherry juice. Add 4 oz club soda. Stir. Best use of this glass I’ve found, yet.

Nice large heavy cocktail glasses perfect for the Old Fashioned!

I love these glasses! They're very nice looking, have a nice weight to them and are the perfect size. I tried a couple other others but ended up sending them back. I would definitely recommend these!

Perfect for cocktails at home - feels very nice in the hand, and looks great

Have had these glasses for years now. They have a heavy bottom that I really like. They are top heavy if you tip them upside down to dry and are tippy which is why I needed to replace them as they fall over and roll off the counter and break... Only caution is the packaging is not great when being shipped so one of the glasses was broken. Amazon did give me a partial refund as I still kept the 3 good ones but be mindful of this.

This glass holds a double rye and coke with ice. Feels great in your hands nice and heavy this order is to replace the ones I broke. I will order them again if I break these.Love them.

I bought these when i got married and i was happy to find more after i lost a few to accidents. I love the style and the quality

These are very beautiful glasses and as described. The quality seems very high for such a reasonable price. However, we use these only occasionally and one of the glasses has developed a crack near the rim on the inside (it does not go all the way through). It is very difficult to show in a photo so I gave up trying to take a picture of the fault. I don't see a link to contact the manufacturer about the issue. Perhaps just bad luck this batch but be aware of the possibility
