These are pretty much as described, but they are much thinner than I expected. I would say they are about as thick as a paper towel. They are fairly stiff and fairly opaque, not showing the colors under them. The only ones that showed a hint of the black and white fabric under them were the pink and yellow, and they did not show through enough to make them unusable. Actually, for some uses the thinness would be a plus, it was just not what I expected.

I bought this for my daughters "Sew Cool" felt sewing machine. The pieces are small enough to use in this machine. My only complaint is that the felt is almost too smashed thin, where you have to keep sewing over and over on each piece to get it to hold. I have never used the felt items that came with the sewing machine because we bought it second hand. The regular felt from fabric stores is too thick for the machine. This product was a great price and fun to try.

I needed felt pieces to make wax samples and these are a great, economical option.
