Gorgeous Cards
I have about six different tarot decks, and this one is my favorite to use for most readings. The are is is just gorgeous, and the meanings and energies the cards give off is wonderful. This is a great deck to use for clients who maybe don't have experience tarot, as the cards that are typically seen as evil (death, the devil) are replaced with different names that share the original meanings of those cards. They won't scare anyone away. The cards are a bit larger than your typical tarot cards. Somewhere in between large oracle cards and tarot. They are a very sturdy card stock and shuffle very nicely. The finish is very nice, it's not completely glossy, but not completely dull. It's a nice in between that is nice to work with. I am in love with this deck, I could hold them and do readings with them all day. The artwork on the back is very nice as well. Everything about this deck is just perfect. It's great for beginners in my opinion as, even though the original suits have different names, there are keywords on each card to give the reader an idea about what the card is about. I did not expect the book that came with the deck to be as amazing as it was. It fit perfectly inside the card box, and is bound just like a regular sized book with a beautiful, sturdy cover. The contents of the book give basic information about the deck, and some very helpful card interpretations (with reversed meanings as well) and lots of keywords. The back of the book has a few different spreads you can try out as well. The box the cards and book came in is really good quality. It's very sturdy and beautiful, perfect for storing and travelling with your cards. I absolutely recommend this deck! Especially if you're a beginner. It's a beautiful deck, with a very helpful booklet, and a great box to hold it all together in.

beautiful, clever deck that has exceeded my expectations
I have to admit, this deck EXCEEDED my expectations. I expected soft and beautiful watercolor/ink images of animals, but the deck is so beautifully executed, printed (the colors are soft, but still very vibrant), and clever that I am just blown away. It's based on RW, but reimagined with the characteristics (both physical and symbolically, drawn from many traditions) of animals. It's definitely a positive and gentle deck- there are definitions for card reversals, but the way the deck is designed is that an animal appears in a reading to guide you through whatever you are facing, good or bad. The cards are on lovely sturdy cardstock, mostly matte, and are a little hard to shuffle at first but break in pretty quickly. The printing is beautiful- I especially love that the background and border for each image is slightly different- some cards are ecru, some a pale blue, some a very very pale green, some off white, etc. I love the look it gives the cards. The cards also feature two keywords on the bottom- normally I'm not a fan of that because I read intuitively, but since this deck is a slightly different take on traditional tarot and tarot imagery, I find the keywords useful. The little white book is 105 pages and nicely bound with full-color covers. It features definitions for each of the cards, reverse message, plus keywords for both the card and reverse. It's a *little* too sweet for me (every animal used its positive attributes to guide you and assist you) but I think if you combine it with a basic level of tarot card meanings, you can do some great readings with it. If you are new to tarot and are a little put off by things like the "death" card and "devil" card- this deck doesn't have them. It's a completely gentle deck, and I would recommend it for kids, if they are asking for a deck of their own. I can't recommend this deck enough- originally I purchased it because it looked pretty and I don't have any animal-based decks in my collection (not a fan of photo-realism or cartoon imagery) but it's really exceeded my expectations and I'm so excited to learn how to read with it. I mainly use tarot and oracle decks as a tool for meditation and insight (I'm Buddhist and usually align the meanings of the cards with key themes in Buddhist philosophy and practice- so I use the cards to "quiz" myself on my Buddhist practice as well as get some insight into looking at things from a different perspective) and I know I'll be reaching for this deck often- nothing but positive energy. I can't recommend this deck enough.

Helpful and beautiful
These cards are as beautiful as other reviews say, both in the artwork and their symbolism. If you love animals and nature, this is your deck. I opened mine up right away and drew 3 cards. The cards are expressive enough that I didn't feel a strong need to look at the book for interpretation; however, I found it very helpful when I did.

Complete set, beware of other sellers
So happy with this set! I previously bought on Etsy and the cards were the size of playing cards and no book, only a QR code for a scanned copy. THIS set has larger cards, the essential guidebook, and is fantastic. Just the perfect deck for me, not only because of the beautiful artwork, but creative integration of spirit animals.

So lovely and sweet-spirited
I bought this deck to have a "non RWS" image deck to use in a Tarot class I'm taking. The instructor, Susannah Conway, recommended this deck as being very gentle and sweet if anyone was feeling a little tentative about Tarot. I love the soft rainbow palette of the artwork and the drawings themselves. The messages are unfailingly uplifting and gentle (not in a toxic positivity kind of way, just emphasizing ways to grow, move forward, face challenges, etc.). I love how the creator has incorporated animals from all over the world and what those animals symbolize in their native cultures. Love, love, love this deck - always get such a warm, encouraging reading when I use it.

A light and positive deck!
Incredibly beautiful. The artwork is lovely, with amazing detail. The water-color painting style adds a nice feel to the pictures. I saw the pictures and wanted to buy it immediately. I was a little hesitant with some of the negative reviews, but I have yet to find flaws. I don't understand some of the reviews and their issues. I like each card. It has words at the bottom associated with the card's meaning. I will say though, the cards are very positive. There are no death or devil (negative) cards. Even the Hanged Man is positive in the sense the praying mantis is walking upside-down. There is a "Shadow" card, representing the Devil in most decks, but it's positive too. The reversed card meanings are not negative, mostly saying move forward. If you want a full "tarot" reading, with the good and the bad, you should probably use another deck. I personally love positive messages so this deck is great. All animals from around the world are included, along with insects. I don't think it's tied to one culture. It's simply a lovely deck.

Beautiful And Insightful Deck
I was introduced this deck at a metaphysical bookstore in North Myrtle Beach, SC; at a store called MYSTICAL MOON VARIETY, by the owner. Great store by the way if you have never been there, please stop by when you go to North Myrtle Beach. I fell in love with them when I was able to look see a tester deck available in the store, which prompted me to purchase my own deck on Amazon. What I love about the deck: •The matte finished hardboard and colorful box (US Games usually has cheesy low-grade and quality flimsy cardboard boxes, but they are starting to improve in this area…this may be a choice made between the author and the publisher) • The Guidebook contains great information and spreads. • The artwork of the cards (very watercolor-like) •The back of the cards, symbol of the lotus, symbol of growth through the muddy waters of life. And, the earthy light brown color to the card backs. •The card stock is perfect for holding in the hands and is durable for shuffling. •This is in my opinion is the only deck so far by Paulina Cassidy that the artwork is relatable, The Joie De Vivre and the other one she has out, is way too complex for me to work with. SpiritSong Tarot won 2nd Place in a visual arts award in 2017. This can be found on the US Games Systems website. What I dislike or feel that could be improved: •The booklet contains the description of the animals on the cards, but the name of the animals are not listed on the cards, and quite honestly, some of the artwork has so much going on in the background it is hard to tell what animal some of them are, making you rely on the guidebook to see what the animal is until you become familiar with the deck. •Some of the animals chosen for the minor arcana doesn’t really match the suit or representation of the suits. Example: the suit of acorns in this deck represent the element of fire 🔥 and the Eight of Acorns is represented by the EEL. To me an EEL is a water element creature and should have gone with the suit of shells which in this deck represents the element of water 💧 and the emotions. Although, from reading the guidebook, The Eight of Wands or Eight of Acorns; represented by EEL means lightning fast results, so it means what the meaning of the eight of wands is supposed to traditionally mean (it just to me odd to have a water element creature in the suit of fire). Another example is in the shells suit, the 5 of Shells-Firefly. I mean how many Fireflies do you ever see flying underneath the waters (none) but I like the meaning that if you feel despair regret or guilt or crying over spilled milk, which is what the 5 of Cups (Shells) represents, then the ray of light dispelled from the firefly offers a ray of hope for the person experiencing this emotion. I just feel that the animals in the minor arcana should have been chosen to go with the elements. In other words, I would have chosen a jellyfish to go with the 5 of shells (cups), sometimes the sting can be painful but there is hope symbolized by the light from the electric glow from the jellyfish. The jellyfish is a water element creature not a firefly. Other than this, it is a great deck and it does open up your intuition. It is a great deck for animal lovers and collectors of tarot alike.

Wonderful for all, especially kids or anxious readers
I bought this deck for my 5-year-old son for his birthday—of course tarot is over his head right now, but he really enjoys playing with the cards and “pulling cards for his day” like I do. I wanted to encourage that and I wanted him to have a complete deck, but a gentle one. This deck is a beautiful addition to any collection but given my experience with it I highly recommend it as an appropriate deck for children. The cards that could be scary, confusing or harsh without the complexity of mature understanding are softened—Death is Transformation, the Lovers is simply Love. Then the deck features the lighter messages of the “dark” pip cards. (Lovely for an anxious reader, as well! Even the pastel colors are soothing.) The art is so soft and beautiful, and those interested in spirit connection with animals will be especially pleased. Animals for each card are very carefully chosen and beautifully drawn. A 5 star deck for sure.
