This adapter worked perfectly and arrived quickly. The sound and video quality is great. My kids were easily able to set it up and begin playing as soon as they hooked it up to the Wii.

This thing rocks! I bought an adapter that hooked onto the old Wii connector but my TV didn’t recognize it. I took this out of the box, attached the included hdmi cord to it and my Wii and then plugged it into my TV. The TV instantly recognized it and I was able to play Mario cart on my new TV no issues. This automatically set it to wide screen and I went into settings and turned it to 480P for HD but who knows if that matters. Part of the Wiis charm is the old school graphics. I was able to win my race and I couldn’t be happier. If you have read reviews for this thing I can tell you it works and works well!

This worked perfectly on my mom's wii. She had the families over for the holidays and wanted to get the wii working for the grandkids. The tv took hdmi for the input not rca. This came with the hdmi cable and hookup was fast and simple. The grandkids has a great time with the wii.

Seems to work well. One thing I had concerns about is whether it is actually using the component source pins on the Wii video connector which will determine whether or not 480p will be selectable in the settings. It does use component and 480p is selectable. Things look nice and sharp now. I do not see any signs of input latency or visual artifacts in the 10 minutes I tested it for. This likely doesn't have any video buffering for processing since that is what typically creates the input latency. This device is REALLY light, so I would suggest taking extra care to ensure no strain is being applied to this thing. It doesn't require additional power like some of the other similar devices. The audio is definitely distorted over HDMI. I have seen this on a ton of cheap HDMI video converters. The amp used during the digitization for HDMI is cranked to max so the audio clips. There is nothing you can do to stop the distortion without physical modification of the device if you are using the HDMI as your audio source. I have this going to an AVR and even setting source to several decibels lower at the preamp stage can't save the audio. Things like clicking the Wii menu button, that bright ding sound is distorted BAD. But there is hope. They did provide the 3.5mm analog jack and the sound coming out of it is not distorted. I have not pushed my ear up to the speaker so I'm not sure if any noise/hiss got added, but from my chair it all sounded good. I would love to toss it a 5 star just because it includes everything you need in the box including the HDMI cable (it isn't very long and is a bit thin, but worked fine for me) and appears to work well for a very good price. I just have to take a star off for the audio issue. It's an incompetent mistake that could have been solved with a single resistor that costs loss than 1 cent and makes the product so much worse as a result.

Easy, plug it into the Wii and the HDMI port and it is set. Cable could be a bit longer but it worked for our setup.

Works exactly as expected. And with a basically perfect picture even on a 75" 4K screen with no ghosting or other artifacts! Quickly and easily replaced the original RCA style cable, which was still somehow the preferred console-to-TV connection almost up to the Obama administration. Lol But that of course kept console costs way down, which I'm sure my early 21st century self surely appreciated!

Ho preso questo adattatore perché sulla mia nuova TV non sapevo più come collegare la vecchia Wii e devo dire che fa benissimo il suo lavoro. È semplicissimo da usare, basta attaccarlo dietro la console e collegare il cavo HDMI, fine dei problemi. All'inizio, appena acceso, l'immagine si vedeva "stretta" in 4:3 con le bande nere ai lati ma mi è bastato andare nelle impostazioni del televisore e cambiare il formato in 16:9. Adesso si vede perfettamente a tutto schermo e con una qualità molto più definita rispetto ai vecchi cavi AV

Works like a charm!

Fonctionne parfaitement pour connecter une Wii à une TV récente via HDMI. L’image est nette en 1080p, et le rendu est bien meilleur que via les câbles d’origine. L’adaptateur est livré avec un câble HDMI, ce qui est pratique, et la sortie audio 3,5 mm permet de brancher un casque ou des enceintes externes. Installation simple : on branche, et ça fonctionne sans réglage. Idéal pour redonner vie à une Wii sur une télé moderne. Petit bémol : l’adaptateur peut parfois se déconnecter légèrement si on touche la console ou les câbles, donc il faut bien le stabiliser pour éviter les coupures. Globalement, très bon rapport qualité/prix pour profiter de ses jeux Wii avec une meilleure qualité d’image.
