Who doesn’t like Adventure Time? No one! It’s a brilliant show with wonderfully realised characters, fantastic animation and brilliantly mad storylines. My son developed a slight addiction to watching the cartoon on television so I purchased this as an extra addition to his addiction. Not only is it well made but it’s full of wonderful imagery and art, fantastic writing and really does look absolutely super. He was over the moon with this and spent hours and hours pouring over the information in here with wide eyes. A great book for Adventure Time fans!

I bought this and it arrived on Sunday. I've been reading it throughout school, on the bus, at home and just showing it off to my friends who also love the show. Not only is the quality of the pages and the design great, but the artwork and humorous content is just fantastic. Everyone I showed this book to was impressed at the quality of it. I would recommend this to any Adventure Time fan or as a gift to one. In case you're wondering about whether it's suitable for older teenagers, well I'm 16 and I love it.

I bought this as a huge Adventure Time fan myself, and absolutely loved it. The book contains tons of facts about everything in the show, and captures the feel of the show perfectly in the way it's "written by" Hudson Abadeer, with sidenotes from Marceline, Finn, and Jake. This would make the perfect gift for anyone who enjoys the show, and is a must have for the bigger fans.

I won't lie, I actually thought this would be a pretty average sort of encyclopedia with nothing really special. I was only buying it because I'm a fan of Adventure time and it makes a nice accessory to go with a Finn the Human cosplay I'm doing. But it's actually a really nice book. It's got a really nice hardcover to it that's really interesting and colourful so it feels nice to handle and also to look at. Concerning the actual content, it's really interesting. They've included a lot of information about a lot of characters, even some of the small details that had since slipped my mind. I've even learned some new things about the Adventure time world. Seriously, any Adventure time fan, I would recommend this to. It's a really well-written and nice book, filled with information that would help any would-be adventurer traverse the lands of Ooo.

I am a new(ish) Adventure Time convert - I just love everything about the show, pretty much! So after devouring the first 5 seasons I bought this wanting to know more and more about this weird world. Unfortunately I didn't take the time to look at this properly - I was hoping for an extension of the show, from its creators that might give us some more backstory, insight in to why there is a chunk of the Earth missing etc, as well as the funny sort of scrapbook material you'd expect. Sadly this is mostly just the scrap book stuff. There is some genuinely good writing and nice parts to this book (I love the map!). Having Hunsen Abadeer (Marceline's dad) narrate the book starts as a neat idea, but soon becomes boring as he bangs on and on about how loathsome this is and how he'll soon be sucking the soul of that.... It switches up in a few places, but a better approach would have been to have each major character do a section each (imagine Lemongrab's!!!! UNACCCEPTAAABBLLLLLEEEE!!) Overall, I give the author mad respects y'all for the sheer level of detail and genuine affection for the show he has used to write this, and it is def worth your time giving it a read (its excellent bathroom reading.....). I just hope someone releases the book I really want to read - I suppose it would need the help of Pendleton Ward. GET A MOVE ON WARD!

If your looking for a basic summary of episodes and maybe so facts about the shows production this really isnt for you. The adventure tme encyclopaedia write from the POV of Hunson Abadeer Lord of the Nightosphere and as such is a slightly biased look at the Land of Ooo and it peoples. With side note from fun and jake it provides plenty of humour and insight into the characters and the world in which they live. Theres nothing fans dont already know and no threat of spoilers but the Excellent new art and Lord Abadeers dry cruel wit make this a well worth purchase for all fans of the show.

Definitely a fine gift for any invested Adventure Time fan. The book is of excellent quality, with a plethora of information about a variety of subjects pertaining both to the land of Ooo, those that dwell there, and numerous other related topics, all written in a style that accurately reflects the personality of the character [Hunson Abadeer] who is meant to have written the book. There are all manner of annotations by 3 of the series most prominent characters [Finn, Jake and Marceline] throughout the book, adding even more references and all in character. This book is exactly as advertised and has surpassed expectations. A fine item.

The headline may seem dramatic but we ordered a used copy of this book and it was in such good quality - no tears or scratches or anything (-that you may expect / get with other sellers / books ) . We have not read this book , but have flipped through it - it is in good quality (-lots of imagery and the colour in the book is not faded or anything ) . Would recommend if you are a fan of adventure time or if you just getting into ad adventure time .

This was a very informative resource. I am new to this show and have dove in head first and enjoying every moment I can get in learning everything there is to know about Adventure Time. Sturdy hardcover book. The book does not have a dust jacket and has full color information on all major characters and many secondary. Enjoyed front to back.

I had preordered this book quite a while ago, and to my unequivocal happiness, the Adventure Time Encyclopaedia turned out to be utterly awesome! If you are new to the Adventure Time universe, or if you are a day-one fan, or if you just want some information on a show that enlightens your conversations with your kids, this is the book to do it. You will notice two things the instant you get this book in your hands. 1) The format is a bit smaller than most other "encyclopedias", and 2) The quality is immediately evident the minute you open the cover. Some readers have complained about the size of this book, but I have to say, the 'digest' size of The Adventure Time Encyclopaedia is absolutely perfect for a number of reasons. It is easier to carry along with you wherever you go, it fits into most bags, backpacks, briefcases, etc.. rather easily, and it doesn't take up wasted space on your bookshelf. I have noticed a large number of publishers migrating to this particular size and I am glad that they are. The quality of this book is amazing in that it keeps with the unique art style and character designs of the show, but casts a whole new light on the land of OOO. Everything that we know and love is new again. EVERY piece of art in this book is a masterpiece, even more so if you are an Adventure Time fan, and it really brings the text to life while putting a big grin on the readers face. The layout of the book is perfect. The Adventure Time Encyclopaedia is made out to be "authored" by Marceline's father, Hunson Abadeer, and so right off the bat we are treated to specific warnings telling us not to continue to read for fear of terrible things happening to the 'unworthy readers' and one of the most unique, and reassuring, forwards in any book I've read. The letter-fonts used throughout the book could not be more appropriate, including those used by Finn, Jake, and Marceline as they scribble notes through the many chapters, and the pages are beautifully printed on a thick, matte stock. As mentioned earlier, the artwork is astounding and the colors are vivid when needed, and dreary in all the right places. Even the front and back cover are a testament to the quality of this product. Offering a hardbound well printed cover, mixing both glossy and flat artwork with a cool, old-school print in the background. Hardcore fans will find something new in this book, and new fans will be delighted to learn all that this book has to offer. From the awesome two-page map of the land of OOO printed on the inside cover, to the quirky biographies of all the main-players in Adventure Time, all the way to the final page containing the lyrics of Marceline's "Daddy, Why Did You Eat my Fries" hit song, this book is amazing and fun to read over and over. Let's not get into all the lore, wizard's spells, and great locations strew about the land of OOO...... instead, just pick this book up yourself. You definitely will not regret it, and this book truly is worth the wait and worth every penny spent on it!
