DJI Mini 3 (DJI RC) – Lightweight and Foldable Mini Camera Drone with 4K HDR Video, 38-min Flight Time, True Vertical Shooting, and Intelligent Features

My wife bought me the Mavick combo some years back. A great drone. Now I have upgraded to this Mini 3 with the video screen RC. I was always of the mind that paying for a screen was a bad idea when your phone has a perfectly good screen. I could not be more wrong. The RC unit with a screen is just fab. Touchscreen and great resolution - plenty bright enough unlike some reviews. Just makes it so much quicker to get flying. The drone itself is just amazing. Much bigger, faster, quieter. If you are looking for an entry level <250g drone with amazing video and still specs - trust me - this is a fantastic buy and the price point with 3 batteries, charging caddy and carry case is just amazing given the tech you get. 4K video and 48MP still shots. Worth every penny - just buy it and you will not be disappointed. I have no financial interest in any of the sellers, DJI and have no benefit in kind from them. I am just one very happy customer who is happy to give a very positive review of a fantastic product.

I already have the DJI mini SE but the fly app isn't supported with my smart phone so i was grounded from the start and wish i had known before hand but this model came out with the DJI RC controller with built in screen and app already installed and it was a game changer no more having to connect a smartphone or downloading apps, I am a complete novice at drone flying but this bundle is so simple to master and makes flying your drone a breeze and the quality of images and video is fantastic and being able to see from great heights certainly changes your view of your surroundings and greatly improves your photography and the built in screen on the controller is bright and clear even on a sunny day and all controls are easy to operate and has the return to home button right where you need it in emergency situations, I absolutely love this little drone especially with the extra batteries and charger which gives you more flying time wherever you are and everything fits neatly into the supplied zipped bag along with spare propellers and charging cables, I highly recommend this drone especially for beginners like me.

This is a breeze to manoeuvre, it is an easy set up a 10-20mins play around to get the feel and your off. The control unit is so nice to handle it doesn’t feel heavy, it’s robust and sturdy well moulded. Picture quality on the screen is bright and clear. So pleased we got the one with the built in screen too. You get 3 batteries as the battery life 🪫 drains quickly. You don’t get any microSD cards so you have to buy those one for DJI and one for hand console. Great features return to home, pause very very easy to understand. You do have to do a flight test and you get a certificate for this incase you get asked by the police etc. This is a must to be able to use the drone.

How DJI have fit all that technology into a sub 250g drone is simply astonishing. The image quality of both photos and video are just fantastic and easily good enough for not only social media but also commercial use. The only things missing are sideways obstacle sensors which will probably come in the future. In terms of usability this is the best drone on the market today in my opinion. Moving to the RC again brilliant value for money to have a dedicated screen for the drone so you don’t have to tie up your phone, again image quality on the screen is very good. Controller is very easy to use and I’ve experienced zero lag from it. I honestly don’t think the average person wanting a drone really needs anything better.

It's a little bit on the expensive side, but you get what you pay for, and this is an excellent bit of kit. After you overcome the fear of crashing or losing it and you figure out how to fly the drone, it is a lot of fun. The remote with the video was a great upgrade and worth money. Video quality is brilliant.

Takes a bit of setting up regarding SD card location and learning the importance of the fine detail of some of the features. One example is that the "fly home" setting has a height setting, important (as I found out) when using command with a tree on route home! Wish I had bought the pro version though, a bit more money but more features.

Image quality is top notch, flying is easy and even perfect for beginners like myself. I got this on sale so it's great value for money, stability is really good on it and it's a fun piece of equipment. It recommend an app for for editing and it's Fantastic.

Product was advertised as an amazon warehouse item, only issue listed was a 'slightly damaged box'. Item arrived, had obviously been used, and even worse had been registered to someone else, which DJI can't undo, only the previous owner can (it's an anti theft measure from DJI). Sent it back via Amazons own UPS service which meant taking a day off work, item took 5 days to get back, and amazon say a refund may take 3 weeks. I expect better from Amazon, they've had enough of my money over the years.

The quality of this drone is amazing and so easy to fly as a beginner..It's definitely worth its money. Couldn't be any happier.

I suspected that the DJI Mini 3 was so popular for a reason. It turned out, the Mini 3 is pretty much perfect—in my humble opinion, of course. This product arrived in a high-quality, eco-friendly, tiny hard paper box. Yes, it is a micro drone. But when you get this minute box, you can't believe the whole package (the drone, lithium battery, spare parts, charging cable, and RC control unit) can fit inside. Somehow, the box design and very clever way of putting all of the above together reminded me of Apple's iPhone packaging. Very smart. I was impressed from the very beginning. DJI product support is top-notch as well. There's tons and tons of info on their website and dedicated YouTube channels, as well as on consumers' private ones. It definitely feels overwhelming if you have never flown a drone before. But if you take your time, this substantial amount of information kind of trickles down, and things start making more and more sense. I would definitely recommend going through all of the beginners' tutorials to avoid any frustration and disappointment. Even though it's tiny and weighs only 249 grams, it is still an aircraft you're about to fly. And with that comes all kinds of responsibilities. I liked one of the recommendations on YouTube: "Do NOT do stupid things." Personally, it makes sense to get yourself familiar with all the legalities, like making sure you comply with all Transport Canada requirements. From a practical point of view, the Nav Canada Drone smartphone app comes in very handy to double-check whether you're allowed to fly a drone wherever you are here in Canada. Due to weather limitations, I only had a few opportunities to fly this marvel of technology. Nevertheless, I fell in love with it. The Mini 3 is very easy to fly, although it takes some getting used to. Reasonably quiet (you could hardly hear it even from, say, 30 meters away), stable, highly maneuverable, and producing vivid and sharp videos—what else can you ask for? ;-) I know many, many wonderful experiences lie ahead of me. I believe I will go through hours upon hours of learning and practicing with this fine aircraft. And I'm looking forward to becoming a proud and capable pilot of such a wonder of technology.
