Good quality product easy to fit and use

This is NOT for drawing anything heavy, I have modified a grass sweeper to drag behind a ride-on mower using this as the hitch. It will lock on and works very well, I consider it a very lightweight use hitch, and for this it is good. A reasonable price ticket, it was an easy modification so I will go with Five stars but emphasise my opinion of LIGHTWEIGHT. JC

Good snug fit on my new towball. Perfect replacement for twisted hitch on a 500kg trailer. The handle does lock in the lifted postion until it is lowered securely on to the towball.

I bought for towing garden roller. Doing the job. Would not recommend for heavy trailer but for £15 good value.

The Story so far: I ordered this item 4 days ago. It arrived next day - Brilliant - I then played with the hitch & found that when you press the trigger & pull the handle it opens but, you can't close it. I looked for a key because it has a very obvious keyhole. NO KEY! So I asked for a replacement with key. Yesterday, the replacement arrived.. Exactly same issue!!!. I couldn't find a solution online. Neither could I get Amazon help. It's chat/A.I. city & completely opaque!!! So, I finally tried to put the hitch over the ball joint thinking this might sort things - It Did!!! So, if you buy one of these & like me had no idea abiout the latching mechanism & lack of an obvious key for the very obvious keyhole, Please realise you have to put the item over a 50mm ball joint to get the lever to unlatch. There is nothing in any online instructions or indeed in the pathetic tiny instruction sheet sellotaped to the item or indeed Amazon's details page. Other than that, so far so good and probably 2 hours wasted trying to figure it out. Come-on MAYPOLE!! SORT IT. It can't cost more than a fraction of a penny to do this!

Bought for my 350kg garden cart which could be converted to a trailer. The coupling it had was not the ball type to fit on a quad so this maypole coupling was ideal. Much stronger than expected for the price. Very easily assembled. Just had to drill another hole in the cart to match holes on the coupling.
